Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 locations

While we’ve spent most of our time in New Eridu’s Janus Quarter since launch, the 2.0 update takes us to the Throne Quarter’s Waifei Peninsula. This new location features Failume Heights, a bustling tourist town boasting sun, sea, and good food. In short, it’s the perfect getaway after the dramatic events of version 2.0.

Suibian Temple is a focal point for version 2.0. It serves as the rest zone for our Proxies as they undergo High Preceptor Yixuan’s training alongside her disciple, Ju Fufu. However, the temple has seen better days, so expect management game elements to restore it to its former glory. We’ll also become acquainted with Aerospace City, the site of the region’s Porcelume mining operation. This location has Ether-stable areas on its outskirts, but dangers lurk the further you explore.

Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 story

Waifei Peninsula’s true value comes from the Porcelume mining and refinement operation on the Lemnian Hollow’s outskirts. Overseen by the capitalistic TOPS Alliance, it finds itself on the brink of calamity as the Hollow-worshipping Exaltist cult conserves its power deep underground. That’s where our favorite Sixth Street Proxies come into frame. Yixuan, the Yunkui Summit faction leader, enlists Phaethon’s help to unravel this conspiracy before disaster strikes.

Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 events

Zenless Zone Zero events are limited-time commissions, scenarios, and alternate game modes that allow Proxies to pick up rare and unique rewards. Some events are announced in name only, so watch out for them as and when they appear in the RPG game.

Here are all the ZZZ 2.0 events:

  • Check-in Event: Surprises are on the Way
  • Anniversary Banner: Festival Channel
  • Check-in Gift: Failume Gift
  • Check-in Gift: En-normous Surprise
  • Agent Enhancement: Shark Frenzy
  • TV Schedule: Tiger’s Billowing Roar
  • Agent Story: Legend of the Tiger Warrior”
  • As Time Passes: A Decade of Suibian Temple
  • Failume Heights Sightseeing Guide
  • Gravitational Attraction
  • Soul of Steel: Golden Bond
  • Holographic Onslaught Arena
  • Operation Yum
  • Golden Proxy Awards: Annual Ceremony
  • Hollow Zero: Phantom Paths
  • Hollow Zero: Lost Void
  • Combat Training: Triple Bounty
  • Special Cleanup: Triple Bounty

Version 2.0 is also set to bring new optimization to older game mode events like Bangboo vs Ethereal and Grand Marcel Adventure. Bangboo will continue to be a focal point in events that pit players against one another in duels. If combat or Bangboo events aren’t really your thing, HoYoverse promises a number of relaxing alternatives to pass the time with your favorite agents.

Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 changes

Version 2.0 is an anniversary update, which makes it the perfect opportunity for HoYoverse to implement major changes. We know that older maps are undergoing a major overhaul to incorporate combat zones and exploration alongside residential areas, while newer maps are designed to cut down scene transitions and loading times.

Story structure is getting a rework, merging Special Episodes and Phaethon’s Story together to strengthen the connection between the two. HoYoverse has also identified that combat currently places disproportionate weight on the main DPS. To mitigate this issue, version 2.0 improves the presence and performance of non-DPS units in combat, with the hope that that team comps feel more cohesive as a result.

Finally, older characters are set to receive changes to further their long-term value. According to HoYoverse, these reworks amount to more than just a boost to damage values, but target core skills and compatibility with upcoming characters. We’ve seen S-Rank agents like Ellen slip on our tier list, but these changes should restore characters with corroded performance to their former glory

We’ve also got a handy list of all the upcoming PC games to check out between ZZZ updates, and our Zenless Zone Zero review includes our verdict of this latest iteration of HoYoverse’s gacha formula.
