Last week, we may not have seen many big bike launches, but it was still full of interesting updates. Honda rolled out its 2025 CB350 models with minor changes and new colours. Meanwhile, TVS is working on new Norton bikes in the 300-400cc range, which sounds really exciting. And some popular enetry-level bikes were discontinued. So, even without new launches, the Indian bike scene had plenty to talk about last week.
Weekly Bike Update Highlights
This week brought many important updates for Indian bike lovers. From fresh models and discontinued ones to quick deliveries, the industry is moving fast. Let’s start.
Honda 2025 CB350 Models Launched
Honda launched the 2025 version of its CB350 series in India. This includes the Hness CB350, CB350RS, and the new CB350, and all now follow the latest OBD-2B emission rules. As a result, the prices have gone up slightly. These Honda bikes get new colours and look more attractive. However, everything else remains the same. Moreover, the engines, features, and styling continue like before.
TVS to Launch Norton Sub-500cc Bikes
A big surprise came from TVS, who owns the British brand Norton. They are working on new bikes in the sub-500cc range. These bikes will carry the Norton name but will use a new TVS-developed engine. The engine will be a 300cc single-cylinder and will be liquid-cooled. Moreover, they are modular engine, which means it can grow up to 500cc. This move will help Norton enter the lower segment while keeping its premium feel.
BMW Discontinued G 310 R and G 310 GS
BMW Motorrad has made a big decision by discontinuing these popular entry-level bikes, the G 310 R and G 310 GS. The reason could be new OBD-2B emission rules or BMW might launch new bikes in this segment. Dealerships have not received any new stock since January 2025, which means the bikes have been officially discontinued. The 310cc platform seems to be reaching the end of its life.
KTM Discontinued Duke 125 and RC 125
KTM has also removed two of its smallest bikes, the 125 Duke and the RC 125, from the Indian website. Sales for both bikes had been dropping for a while. In January 2025, the 125 Duke sold only 17 units in India. Rising competition and high prices may be the main reasons behind this drop. These bikes were once popular, but now KTM is likely focusing on its bigger models like Duke 160 and RC 160.
Ola Electric Initiates Same-Day Registration and Delivery
Finally, Ola Electric launched a new plan called #HyperDelivery that promises same-day registration and delivery of scooters. This plan is in the pilot phase in Bangalore and is now being expanded across India. With this move, Ola wants to make the buying process quick and easy by using AI. Customers won’t have to wait days or weeks to get their new electric scooters.
