The last week of February 2025 turned out to be pretty interesting with new bike launches, spy shots and other updates on upcoming bikes. If you happened to miss the action, here’s a quick news recap to get you up to speed:
1. Royal Enfield Guerilla 450 Launched
Royal Enfield launched two new colours of the Guerrilla 450’s mid-spec Dash variant. This means that the Guerrilla 450 Dash variant is now available in a total of 4 colours: Peix Bronze (new), Smoke Silver (new), Gold Dip and Playa Black.
2. Ducati DesertX Discovery Launched
Ducati launched the DesertX Discovery in India. The ADV features a similar design as the other variants but comes equipped with additional parts and accessories, making it more touring-focused. The DesertX Discovery also gets a special Thrilling Black/Ducati Red livery.
3. Triumph Thruxton 400 Spied
We exclusively spotted the upcoming Triumph Thruxton 400 when it was being tested on the roads of Pune. The bike features a proper cafe racer fairing, inspired by the bigger capacity Triumph Thruxton RS 1200. It will be based on the same platform as the Triumph Speed 400. Here’s when it is expected to be launched in India.
4. KTM 390 Adventure R & 390 SMC R Coming Soon
KTM is planning to make the 390 Adventure R and 390 SMC R available to Indian customers, only if there is enough demand for these bikes in the country. Moreover, the KTM 390 Enduro R is also expected to be launched by the end of March or April 2025. These bikes are already being manufactured in India for export to global markets. All three bikes are powered by the same engine as the KTM 390 Duke and the 390 Adventure, which makes 46PS and 39Nm.
5. Honda CG 160 Design Patent
Honda Motor Co. Ltd. patented a new 160cc sporty commuter bike in India, named ‘Honda CG 160’. The bike comes with a stylish design and is powered by a 162.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, engine, which produces 14.6PS and 13.8Nm. The bike is already on sale in Brazilian markets and it is named as the “Honda CG 160 Start” there. However, it is unlikely to be launched in India anytime soon.
