Upcoming Hero Splendor Plus Spotted: New Features Like Disc Brakes TechTricks365

The Hero Splendor Plus, the best-selling commuter bike in India, is probably going to get an upgrade shortly. The redesigned motorbike has not yet been formally unveiled by the manufacturer, but it was seen at dealerships with some interesting changes. The new version comes in two eye-catching colour choices and has disc brakes up front. Overall, this most recent upgrade will increase the bike’s value for the money. Let’s look at all the information below.

2025 Hero Splendor Plus: What’s New?

Two new colour options are added to the 2025 Splendor Plus. One is the Candy Red colour option, which was formerly offered on the bike but was subsequently discontinued. So, the Hero Motocorp is now reintroducing the recognisable colour palette.

However, to commemorate Hero’s remarkable achievement of selling 4 crore Splendor units, the brand has introduced the Matt Axis Grey colour. This unique colour scheme is now available and comes paired with a drum brake variant. The same colour palette will be used on the next disc brake version as well.

The upcoming Hero Splendor Plus Disc variant will likely have a 240mm front disc brake. This feature is similar to the feature loaded Splendor Plus XTEC Disc variant. At the rear, it will keep the same 130mm drum brake. Moreover, both brakes will come with a combined braking system (CBS) for better safety.

The engine, functionality, and hardware of the Splendor Plus are probably going to stay the same, except for the aforementioned upgrades. It is powered by a single-cylinder, air-cooled, 97.2cc engine with a maximum output of 8.02PS and 8.05Nm. Moreover, the engine is paired with a 4-speed gearbox setup.

Expected Price and Launch Date

In the upcoming weeks, the new Hero Splendor Plus Disc is probably going to be launched. We anticipate that the bike will cost around Rs 80,000 (ex-showroom). As of now, the bike price starts at Rs 75,441 (ex showroom).
