CD Projekt RED has recently taken on more than 50 staff members to work on its various projects, including The Witcher IV, which the studio recently confirmed will not be seeing the light of day before 2027.
Speaking during its latest earnings statement of the fiscal year 2024, the company revealed that it has enjoyed ongoing success from both Cyberpunk 2077 and anticipating surrounding The Witcher IV, which was announced during The Game Awards 2024. According to CDPR, the fantasy-RPG’s debut trailer was the most-watched among the premiers featured at the event.
The developer also revealed that it took on 57 new employees between the end of November 2024 and the end of February this year, with 11 of those individuals having joined the development team for The Witcher IV. The game now has a total of 411 people working on it.
CD Projekt RED previously confirmed that the role has been recast for The Witcher IV, with Ciara Berkeley replacing original voice actor Jo Wyatt. Geralt of Rivia, the protagonist of the earlier entries in the franchise, will also be appearing in The Witcher IV, but his role is being kept under wraps. The studio has also denied that Ciri’s character model has been changed since the reveal trailer after speculation ran rampant online.
