Persona 4 Remake Seemingly Confirmed by Persona 4 Voice Actor | TechRaptor TechTricks365

A voice actor who worked on the original Persona 4‘s English dub appears to have inadvertently confirmed the existence of a Persona 4 remake.

Yuri Lowenthal, an industry veteran who provided the voice for Yosuke in the original game, revealed via Bluesky earlier today that he hasn’t been asked to return for “the Persona 4 remake”.

Lowenthal says he “asked” and that he “even begged”, but that Atlus doesn’t want him to return for the project. Of course, in announcing his non-participation in the game, he does also seem to have accidentally confirmed that the game, which hasn’t officially been announced yet, is in development.

The Persona 4 remake appears to be going ahead, if Yuri Lowenthal is to be believed.

While the game hasn’t technically been revealed by Atlus, this isn’t the first inkling we’ve had of its existence.

Back in March, a new web domain, “p4re.jp”, was registered, and while the registrant wasn’t disclosed, the domain format is identical to the one previously put in place for the Persona 3 remake, which later turned out to be a very real prospect.

Of course, it’s possible that the registrant of the domain had nothing to do with Sega or Atlus, but between that domain’s registration and Lowenthal’s comments today, Persona 4 Reload (if, indeed, that’s what its name ends up being) looks pretty much inevitable.

Persona 4 remake would also make a lot of sense given that Persona 3 Reload managed to sell a million copies faster than any other game in Atlus’ history (until the arrival of Metaphor: ReFantazio in the fall, that is).

Akihiko saying "besides, I'm curious to see how strong I can get" in Persona 3 Reload
Persona 3 Reload‘s strong sales performance makes a Persona 4 remake a no-brainer.

If the Persona 4 remake is indeed real, we can likely expect similar improvements and enhancements to those offered by Persona 3 Reload, including reworked visuals, enhanced performance, and perhaps even some additional story scenes.

We’ll have to wait and see whether the Persona 4 remake materializes, but the Summer Game Fest period is just around the corner, so it’d make perfect sense for Atlus to announce it then. Stay tuned for more.
