Ola Electric, the Indian market leader in electric two-wheelers, has started delivering its latest S1 Pro Gen 3 E-scooters. These new generation electric models were launched on January 31, with expected deliveries in February. However, due to some delays, the deliveries were pushed. The range of Ola Electric scooters starts at Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom), and it is noteworthy that within ten days of the launch, the brand raised the price of both S1 Pro models by up to Rs.15,000. About Ola S1 Gen 3 Electric Scooters
There are a total of eight models in the latest S1 series lineup. The S1 Pro+, S1 Pro, S1X+, and S1X are among them, and each has a variety of battery pack choices. Compared to its predecessor, the Gen 3 platform offers a number of improvements. The two most significant changes are a 20% increase in battery range and peak power. For improved performance and dependability, the company has also included a chain drive and mid-drive motor.
Specifications of Ola S1 Gen 3 Electric Scooters
A 4 kWh or 5.3 kWh battery pack is available for the S1 Pro+ Gen 3. The 4 kWh version has an IDC range of 242 km, while the 5.3 kWh variant has an IDC range of 320 km. On the other hand, for S1 Pro Gen 3, there are two battery options. A 4 kWh pack with a 242 km range and a 3 kWh pack with a 176 km range.
An electric motor with a power output of 13 kW powers the S1 Pro+ Gen 3 models. With a 5.3 kWh battery pack, it can go from 0 to 40 km/h in 2.1 seconds. And reaches a top speed of 141 km/h. However, the 4 kWh battery pack offers a top speed of 125 kmph and can go from 0 to 40 in 2.3 seconds.
The 11 kW electric motor in the S1 Pro Gen 3 models can go from 0 to 40 km/h in 2.7 seconds. However, the maximum speed is just 125 km/h with the 4 kWh battery and drops to 117 km/h with the 3 kWh battery pack.
