Land Rover Defender recalled TechTricks365

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Australia has recalled 140 examples of its Defender, due to a fault that could cause its snorkel to fall off while driving.

“The Raised Air Intake (RAI) snorkel fitted to certain vehicles may have not been secured to the required specifications and could detach from the vehicle whilst driving,” the carmaker said in its recall notice.

“If the RAI detaches from the vehicle whilst driving, it could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to other road users and bystanders.”

JLR notes that the recall affects vehicles fitted with part number VPLEP0543.
