KTM has confirmed that the 2025 390 Adventure S will be launched in India on January 30, 2025. Along with the Adventure S, there is a slight possibility that KTM may also launch the 390 Enduro R, though the company has not made an official statement regarding its India debut. We expect the pricing to be around the Rs 3.80 lakh mark (ex-showroom).
Features
In terms of features, the 390 Adventure S offers a host of features including an all LED lighting setup, a 5-inch colour TFT display for the instrument cluster, cornering ABS, traction control, multiple ride modes, and the standout feature: cruise control. Additionally, the bike also offers switchable ABS modes and dual-channel ABS is part of standard fitment.
Underpinnings
The KTM Adventure features a steel trellis frame that is equipped with a 43mm WP Apex inverted fork and a WP monoshock, both being rebound and pre-load adjustable. The bike comes with a 21-inch front and a 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup and they will be fitted with tubed tyres.
Engine
The engine being used here is the same LC4C one as the Duke 390, which is a 399cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder unit producing 45.9PS and 39Nm. The motor is paired to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter.
Rivals
Upon launch, the KTM 390 Adventure S will rival other bikes in the sub-500c adventure bike segment like the Royal Enfield HImalayan 450, the upcoming Hero XPulse 421, the Yezdi Adventure, the BMW G 310 GS, and the soon to launch TVS Apache RTX 300.
