Hero Xpulse 210 vs Yamaha Lander 250: Specs, Features, Performance TechTricks365

As presented at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the highly-expected XPulse 210 was brought into the markets by Hero MotoCorp at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1,75,800. On the other hand, Yamaha Motor India showcased its Lander 250 at the expo. This sets up a reasonable probability that this one might reach the Indian ground very soon. Here, let us compare these two off-road-focused dual-sport motorcycles.

What’s Different?

Both Hero Xpulse 210 and Yamaha Lander 250 are dual-sport motorcycles designed for adventure and off-road riding. Though they have different engine configurations, suspension systems, features, and designs, both provide tough performance. You can better understand their specs and features by comparing them.

Hero Xpulse 210 vs Yamaha Lander 250: Engine

The Hero XPulse 210 is powered by a 210cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. This is exactly the same configuration as the Hero Karizma XMR 210. It produces 24.6PS of power and 20.7Nm of torque. The Yamaha Lander 250 has an air-cooled, single-cylinder 249.5cc engine. It produces 20.7PS and 20.49Nm of torque.

As a consequence, the Lander 250 has less power than the Xpulse 210 as far as generating power is concerned. Also, the Lander is ideal for tough usage as it contains an air-cooled engine that is easier to maintain.

The long-travel suspension of both motorcycles is for off-road riding. Xpulse 210 comes with a 210mm travel telescopic fork and a 205mm travel monoshock. In comparison, the Lander 250 has a 204mm travel and telescopic front forks with 220mm travel.

The XPulse 220mm ground clearance is not as great as the Lander 275mm, which enables it to ride over rough ground more easily. Both motorcycles are fitted with spoked wheels, 21 inches up front and 18 inches down back. The XPulse 210 total weighs 170 kg, whereas the Yamaha Lander 250 weighs only 143 kg. Since the Lander weighs less, it should be more manageable on trails and more forgiving while off-roading.

The XPulse comes with new features, including a 4.3-inch TFT instrument panel with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call and SMS notifications. For off-road use, it also has switchable on/off ABS at the back. On the other side, the Yamaha Lander 250 has a simple LCD console that shows standard data like trip meter, speed, and fuel level.

The XPulse stands out with its rally-inspired design, muscular tank, sharp beak-like front fender, and striking colors. The Lander, on the other hand, is more basic in terms of its dual-sport design, with little appeal. It also borrows the headlamp of the Yamaha FZ 25 from the old model.
