Hero MotoCorp is increasingly finding itself involved with electric vehicles. The company is going to put in a maximum of Rs 525 crore into Euler Motors, which is a new entrant in electric three-wheelers. This is just one of Hero’s strong plays to “Be the Future of Mobility.” Hero is stepping into a fast-growing business where EVs may hold 35% of sales soon. Let’s learn more about what this agreement is and how it can shape the future.
Hero’s Big Move into EV Three-Wheelers
Hero MotoCorp’s board has approved this investment in one or two stages. Euler Motors now operates in 30 cities in India, selling electric three-wheelers primarily for goods transportation. The company has also recently introduced its first electric four-wheeler, showing its aspiration to expand. This deal provides Hero with a good start to the electric three-wheeler segment, which is likely to expand rapidly.
Why This Investment Matters
Dr. Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, explained the importance of this decision. He said, “Our strategic investment in Euler is a bold step towards realising our vision to ‘Be the Future of Mobility.’” He added that this move supports Hero’s goals of growth through both organic and inorganic means.
Furthermore, Munjal stated, “This investment allows Hero MotoCorp to venture into a rapidly growing electric three and four-wheeler market.” It also helps them unlock new business opportunities in green mobility.
Strategic Partnership for a Greener Future
Hero MotoCorp is the world’s largest two-wheeler maker. Now, with this investment, it is entering a space dominated by electric three-wheelers. Moreover, the electric cargo vehicle market is growing fast in cities, especially for last-mile delivery.
Euler Motors is known for innovation and service, and this partnership may speed up EV adoption in India. As Hero expands its electric plans, this deal could open new doors for both companies.
