Hero Launches 2025 Passion Plus With New Engine & Colours TechTricks365

Hero MotoCorp has silently launched the 2025 Passion Plus in India. It now comes with a new OBD-2B-compliant engine. The company has also introduced fresh colour options. The updated model sees a slight price increase.

The bike is still a great pick for daily city commuting. It remains lightweight, fuel-efficient, and rider-friendly. Moreover, it now meets stricter emission norms. If you are planning to buy a commuter bike, the new Passion Plus could be a good choice. Let’s explore what’s new and what’s unchanged in the 2025 version.

Trusted Commuter Gets a Smart Update

The Passion Plus is a well-known commuter bike in India. It’s simple, reliable, and loved for its fuel efficiency. Moreover, the 2025 model now comes with an OBD-2B compliant engine. This helps the bike meet the latest emission standards in India.

Though power remains the same, the engine is now OBD-2B compliant. This means it meets the latest emission rules set by the government. The 97.2cc engine is still reliable and easy to maintain. It produces 7.91 bhp at 8000 rpm and 8.05 Nm torque at 6000 rpm. Moreover, the fuel-injection helps in smooth power delivery and better mileage. The engine is connected to a four-speed gearbox with a wet clutch.

The design of the bike has not changed much. It still comes with black five-spoke alloy wheels and dual-tone body graphics. However, Hero has updated the colour range for 2025. The older colour options included four shades like Sport Red and Black Grey Stripe.

These two have now been replaced with Bluish Teal and Sports Red Black. Moreover, the Black Nexus Blue and Black Heavy Grey options continue. These dual-tone shades give the bike a sporty and modern look. The red shock absorbers also add a nice contrast to the design.

Price Now Slightly Higher Than Before

The 2025 Passion Plus is priced at Rs 81,651 (ex-showroom). This makes it Rs 1,750 more expensive than the 2024 model. In some cities like Jaipur, the price is around Rs 82,000. Hero has updated the bike quietly, without a grand event.

The slight price bump brings in new colours and a cleaner engine. It’s still one of the most affordable Hero bikes. This price includes self-start and alloy wheels in the base variant.

Specifications & Features

2025 Passion Plus Features

Hero has not changed the chassis or underpinnings. The bike still uses a double cradle frame for strength and durability. The suspension setup includes telescopic forks at the front and at the rear, you get twin shock absorbers for a smoother ride.

The 2025 Passion Plus continues to be a compact and easy-to-handle bike. It measures 1982mm in length, 770mm in width, and 1087mm in height. The wheelbase is 1235mm, and the ground clearance is 168mm. At just 115kg, the bike is light and nimble in traffic. The seat height is 790mm, which suits both tall and short riders.

This commuter bike has several helpful features. It has a mobile charging port for charging your phone on the go, and there’s also a small utility storage box under the fuel tank. Moreover, other features include self-start and side-stand engine cut-off. The i3S start-stop system saves fuel at traffic signals. It turns the engine off during idle and restarts it when needed. These small features make daily rides smoother and more efficient.
