Nippon Ichi Software has released the second official trailer, as well as new information and screenshots for travel adventure game Fuuraiki 5, introducing the game’s three heroines, as well as additional characters and tourist spots.

■ What is Fuuraiki 5?
Fuuraiki is an adventure game series where the player travels by motorcycle through real-life images and videos of landscapes. The latest entry, Fuuraiki 5, depicts the protagonist’s journey through Mie Prefecture.
The protagonist is a reportage writer for a travel magazine. He visits Mie Prefecture to participate in the “Miketsukuni Eikou Competition” (shortened to “MieCom”), a media competition for articles about Mie Prefecture.
Over the course of a month, participants will travel to various places around Mie Prefecture, gathering materials on location, and writing articles about their charms to submit to MieCom.
■ The Three Heroines You Will Meet on Your Journey
Fuuraiki 5 depicts the story of three heroines traveling through Mie Prefecture, just like the protagonist. Through repeated interaction, the story may develop in a way that you form a relationship with these women. The protagonist’s encounters with these women will surely brighten up his journey through Mie Prefecture.
Akane Shikama (voiced by Yuri Fujimoto)
A writer for another magazine and MieCom participant who met the protagonist at the competition’s orientation. She is an earnest and kind woman who greets and encourages the nervous protagonist.
For the competition, she has decided to write an article about history (specifically the Sengoku period warlord Kuki Yoshitaka), and is going around locations connected to Kuki Yoshitaka to gather information.
Yuzuki Sonohara (voiced by Chisato Mori)
A cheerful and outgoing woman. While she can easily jump to conclusions and intimidates the protagonist when they first meet, after assuming he is a flirt, her natural charm and friendliness make her strangely difficult to dislike.
Her hobby is photography, and she mainly goes around looking for breathtaking views and hidden gems to capture Mie Prefecture’s beautiful scenery.
Aika Tabuchi (voiced by Ayaka Fujimoto)
A woman with a calm vibe. Her father is the president of a major conglomerate, and she is a genuinely pampered woman who always has a bodyguard with her. She read the protagonist’s articles and developed an interest in him, and so she came to Mie Prefecture.
Due to her position, she has no experience in enjoying herself freely, so on her trip to Mie Prefecture, she is mainly going around leisurely spots with a focus on having as much fun as possible.
■ Encountering the Heroines
Since each heroine has their own objective, if you listen to them closely and visit locations they may be interested in on days they are likely to be there, you may be able to run into them.
Depending on the story, there may also be situations where the heroines directly invite you somewhere. If you make a promise, be sure to go to the specified location to meet them.
Your Mie Prefecture love story will unfold through repeated encounters with these heroines.

Reiko Atsumi (voiced by Mao Yabuki)
Aika Tabuchi’s bodyguard. She is always by Aika’s side to protect her.
Kagerou Kuroba (voiced by Takaki Harumi)
An amateur street performer. The protagonist just happens to end up at one of his performances, and the two begin to interact.
Naoyuki Takeuchi (voiced by Toshinari Kamiyanagi)
The cook at the restaurant he runs. He values his family and cooking above all else, and often treats the protagonist to a meal.
Youko Himari (voiced by Mai Mochizuki)
A self-proclaimed carefree traveler. Despite having an intellectual vibe, she is quite laid back and has a unique conversational flow.
■ The Tourism Spots of Mie Prefecture

Suzuka Circuit
A mecca for Japanese motorsports fans, and a mobility resort enjoyable by both adults and children alike.
Komono
A nature-rich town located at the base of the Suzuka Mountain range. You can enjoy its season-by-season nature to the fullest, and with attractions like Yunoyama Onsen and the Gozaisho Ropeway, it is one of the prefecture’s leading tourist destinations.
Sekijuku
The 47th inn town of the Tokaido, lined with around 200 buildings from the Edo to Meiji eras. The spectacular and nostalgic townscape has been designated as an important traditional architectures preservation district by the Japanese national government.
VISION
A large retail facility with a lot area that can hold 24 Tokyo Domes. There are around 70 establishments including gourmet eateries, interactive facilities, onsens, and lodging, so both adults and children alike can spend a full day having fun here.
Yokoyama Observatory Deck
A scenic area where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Ago Bay. There are five observatory decks, each with a different view. There are also walking trails, making it a perfect spot for hiking while enjoying each season.
Onigajo
A large rock face that is both a national monument and a registered World Heritage Site as part of the “Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range.” It is a beautiful place where you can enjoy countless naturally formed caves and rock formations of all shapes and sizes.
