Ather Energy Partners with ThunderPlus to Enhance EV Charging TechTricks365

Ather India, the manufacturer of electric scooters, has come together with local EV charging startup ThunderPlus. The partnership will provide Ather riders with improved access to charging stations in India. Under the new partnership, Ather customers can now use all 140 ThunderPlus hubs spread over 15 states and 40 cities. The step will facilitate people to charge electric scooters easily and travel without worrying about their battery running out.

Denser Charging Network in India

With this association, Ather Energy riders can simply utilize ThunderPlus’ quick chargers. This makes both charging systems complement each other more effectively and provides riders with more choices to charge their vehicles. As per ThunderPlus CEO Rajeev YSR, this association is a key move for the EV sector. He stated, “The EV revolution will be won by collaboration, not competition.” He further said that ThunderPlus is willing to collaborate with more corporations to make charging even simpler for everyone using electric vehicles.

ThunderPlus Charging Hubs and Technology

ThunderPlus has more than 2,000 charging points spread over 140 sites in the country. They have high-speed chargers from 30 kW to 240 kW, so cars charge much quicker. They also partner with popular travel and mobility brands such as FlixBus, Turno, Ohm, and ETO to drive India towards clean and green mobility.

Ather Expands in Indore with New Experience Centre

Besides the ThunderPlus tie-up, Ather Energy is expanding its presence in central India. The company has recently launched its second dealership in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The new outlet also features a Gold Service Centre with ExpressCare, where customers can have their electric scooters serviced in 60 minutes.

Ather Energy now runs 14 service centres in Madhya Pradesh and has installed 68 Ather Grid fast chargers in the state. As of March 31, 2025, the company has 3,578 chargers across India, making it the largest fast-charging network for electric two-wheelers in the country.
