Aprilia Tuono 457 Reaches Dealerships Before April 15 Launch TechTricks365

The all-new Aprilia Tuono 457 has started arriving at dealerships across India. The sporty street-naked bike is priced at Rs 3.95 lakh (ex-showroom), and deliveries will begin from April 15. You can now check it out in person before booking. With a booking amount of just Rs 10,000, Aprilia fans can now get closer to owning this mean machine. Based on the RS 457 platform, the Tuono 457 is more street-focused, with upright ergonomics and a unique look. Let’s take a closer look at what this exciting new bike has to offer.

Striking Design and Rider-Friendly Ergonomics

The Aprilia Tuono 457 looks very different from its older siblings. It has a bold new face with twin LED headlights and stylish LED DRLs. Aprilia has ditched the full fairing for a semi-naked look this time. It now gets a wide single-piece handlebar for a more upright riding posture. Moreover, the design feels sharp and sporty with split seats and a compact tail section. It runs on 17-inch alloy wheels with grippy Protorq Extreme tyres for better control.

Powerful Engine and Shared Platform with RS 457

The Tuono 457 is built on the same frame as the RS 457 sportbike. It gets the same 457cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine under the tank. This engine makes 47 bhp and 43.5 Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. It’s smooth and rev-happy, perfect for both city rides and weekend fun. Since it’s lighter than fully-faired bikes, the Tuono feels quick and agile. It also has a slipper clutch for smooth downshifts while riding aggressively.

Features That Add to the Ride

Aprilia has packed the Tuono 457 with lots of modern features. It gets a fully-digital TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. There are three riding modes to suit different roads and riding styles. It also features traction control and switchable dual-channel ABS for safety. The suspension setup includes upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. Braking is handled by disc brakes on both ends with good stopping power.

Tuono 457 vs. Its Rivals

The Tuono 457 will compete with bikes like KTM 390 Duke and Yamaha MT-03. It also takes on the BMW G 310 R and other mid-capacity streetfighters. However, it stands out with a twin-cylinder engine and premium Italian styling. Moreover, it is made in India at Aprilia’s Baramati plant, keeping the cost low. At Rs 3.95 lakh, it offers good value for a sporty, twin-cylinder naked bike. Bookings are open, and deliveries start on April 15 across India.
