The newest Call of Duty, Black Ops 6, had an incredibly successful launch.
In our review, we said, “Black Ops 6 is to Call of Duty what Battlefield 3 was to its series, something new that finally offered an alternative to a repetitive formula. Now, it is up for Activision and Treyarch to build on it.” Sadly, it doesn’t look like they’re properly building on it.
A recent update during the launch of Season 4 has fans feeling unsatisfied. On the Black Ops 6 subreddit, one user noticed advertisements on their loadout screen.
Worst of all, this isn’t the only thread about the topic. Several posts on the game’s subreddit ask the same thing: Why are there advertisements on the loadout page? One post even jokes, “Why did they add guns to my microtransaction page?”
Remember that this isn’t in their free-to-play Battle Royale, Warzone. It’s Black Ops 6 proper, with an $80 price tag. Seeing advertisements when you’re already paying a pretty penny will only upset your playerbase.
On the plus side, some community members do their best to take it in stride. “At least the store is getting attention ! lol,” jokes OP. Others, however, aren’t happy.
“They didn’t even fix a quarter of the bugs they introduced within the last couple seasons,” says one upset Call of Duty fan.
“Also, a bunch of bugs on their Trello board that they did already acknowledge weren’t even fixed in this update, either.”
Most people feel that the development team has already moved on to the next release, saying, “They don’t care anymore and neither should you.”
It’s a stark difference from the state of the game during launch, which was the best in Call of Duty history. Adding Call of Duty to Xbox Game Pass helped bring in more players than ever before. However, those players seem fed up and have had enough.
This isn’t the first time Black Ops 6 players have been upset. Last December, they expressed their frustration over the Squid Game Battle Pass.
Really ? I have to see this shit now even in the loudouts
