March 2025 saw a wave of updates in the affordable two-wheeler segment, with leading manufacturers launching new and upgraded models. The latest releases include the TVS Jupiter 110, Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid, Honda Shine 100, and Suzuki’s Burgman and Avenis scooters. Let us get straight into it:
TVS Jupiter 110
TVS Motor Company rolled out the updated variant of the Jupiter 110, with the 113.3cc engine now being OBD-2B-compliant. Power and torque remain unchanged at 8.02PS and 9.2Nm (9.8Nm with electric assistance). It has been priced between Rs 76,691 (ex-showroom), which is a price increase of Rs 2,000. The Jupiter continues with its family-friendly looks and the same feature set.
Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid
India Yamaha Motor launched the 2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid, India’s first 150cc hybrid motorcycle. It is priced at Rs 1,44,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it exactly Rs 10,000 more expensive than the non-hybrid model. It gets a 149cc engine that makes 12.4PS, 13.3Nm, and is equipped with a five-speed gearbox. The hybrid model gets a Smart Motor Generator (SMG), offering additional torque in acceleration, greater mileage, and quiet start.
Honda Shine 100
Honda Motorcycle And Scooter India (HMSI) launched the 2025 Shine 100, priced at Rs 68,767 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle is now OBD-2B compliant, in line with the new emission norms. It continues to use the same 98.98cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 7.38PS and 8.05Nm, mated to a four-speed gearbox.
Suzuki Burgman Street And Avenis
Suzuki Motor India launched the 2025 Burgman Street and Avenis 125 scooters with an OBD-2B compliant engine. They are still priced the same as before. Both the scooters have the same 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 8.7PS and 10Nm. With these updates, Suzuki’s entire lineup, including the Access 125 and the Gixxer series – is now OBD-2B compliant.
