2025 KTM Duke 390 With New Apollo Alpha H1 Tyres Launch Price Is Rs 2.96 Lakh. Bike Reaches Dealerships | BikeDekho TechTricks365

With the new tyres, the KTM 390 Duke’s price has increased slightly, and the bike has reached dealerships

KTM India has once again updated the 390 Duke, this time bringing new tyres. The streetfighter is now offered with Apollo Alpha H1 tyres instead of the Metzeler Sportec M5s that came as standard. The updated bike has also now started arriving at dealerships.

The addition of these new tyres have also resulted in a slight increase of Rs 1,000 in the Duke 390’s price. Now, the bike is available at a price of Rs 2,96,000 (ex-showroom), which is a reasonable premium. The addition of these new tyres could help riders push the KTM 390 Duke to its limits, as the Apollo Alpha H1 tyres should offer slightly better performance.

The Alpha H1s are W rated tyres, whereas the Metzeler Sportec M5 is a H rated tyre. W rated tyres offer better performance and can travel at higher speeds than H-rated ones. In terms of grip, the Apollo Alpha H1 tyres also have a slight edge compared to the Metzeler Sportec M5s. The increased grip will make it easier for riders to confidently push their 390 Duke a bit more than on the Metzeler M5s, especially on corners.

Even though the Apollo Alpha H1 tyres are slightly towards the heavier side, most riders won’t feel much of a difference, and overall it is a fair tradeoff to make for slightly better handling.

KTM India has been updating the 390 Duke with new features and other changes. The most recent change to the bike in terms of new features, which were borrowed from the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure, such as the cruise control feature and crawl-function. The crawl function is a low rpm assist which should make it easier to ride the Duke 390 in slow moving traffic with just clutch modulation.

Other than this, the bike has remained unchanged. It is still powered by the same 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine which outputs 46PS at 8,500rpm and 39Nm at 6,500rpm. The Duke goes up against other streetfighters in the 300 to 400cc segment such as the Yamaha MT-03, TVS Apache RTR 310, and the Aprilia Tuono 457. Even with the update, the KTM 390 Duke undercuts the Tuono 457 by Rs 99,000 and the Yamaha MT-03 by Rs 53,900.

You may also consider the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z, Triumph Speed 400 – both of which offer similar levels of performance while being more affordable.
