On the 11th of March 2025, Yamaha launched India’s first hybrid motorcycle in the 150cc segment. As a result, the market has become more competitive after the launch of this hybrid bike.

Bajaj Auto has always been a long-time rival of Yamaha in the 150cc sports bike category. Their popular models, like the FZ-S and the Pulsar N150, are the biggest examples. Now, Yamaha has just launched the FZ-S Fi Hybrid, so the N150 got its new competitor. In this blog, we are going to compare both bikes since they serve a similar market but approach it differently.

Price Comparison

At Rs 1,44,800 (ex-showroom), the Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid is Rs 26,800 more costly than the Bajaj Pulsar N150. However, the Bajaj Pulsar N150 is priced at Rs 1,18,000 (ex-showroom). Simply said, the Yamaha motorcycle price is more than the Bajaj bike.

Design Comparison

The aggressive and muscular design of the FZ series is carried over into the FZ-S Fi Hybrid. It has front turn signals built into the fuel tank shrouds and sharp tank extensions. Moreover, there are two colour options for it: Cyan Metallic Grey and Racing Blue.

The bigger Pulsar N160 and the N150 have the same design. Its strong, athletic style makes it appear more compact than the FZ overall. Additionally, it comes in Pearl Metallic White and Ebony Black colour choices.

On the other hand, the N150 is somewhat more powerful than the FZ-S due to its 149.68cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine generates 14.5PS at 8,500 rpm and 13.5Nm at 6,000 rpm. Additionally, both the bike’s engines are paired with a five-speed gearbox.
