Kuro Games will release the version 2.3 update for free-to-play open-world action RPG Wuthering Waves, dubbed “Fiery Arpeggio of Summer Reunion,” on April 29, the developer announced.
Here is an overview of the update:
- Celebratory Events
- Gifts of Grand Celebration – Log in on 2025-05-23 (UTC+8) and claim Radiant Tide x10 and Anniversary Avatar “Moment of Resonance.”
- Gifts of Grand Reunion – Log in and claim Radiant Tide x5 and Lustrous Tide x5.
- Gifts of Melodic Verses – Log in and claim Modifier x5, Astrite x300, and more.
- Cubie Derby: Warmup – Participate in the event to win Radiant Tide x10, Flight Aspect: The Laureate, Phantom: Chest Mimic, and more.
- Tidal Festivities – An in-game page dedicated to anniversary-related events, called Tidal Festivities, will become available when Version 2.3 goes live. The information on the page will be updated regularly. After Version 2.3 goes live, you can visit the Tidal Festivities page and view its content to win Astrites and an Outfit Voucher worth 300 Lunites. The Outfit Voucher can be used in Version 2.4 to purchase Outfits from the Store. It entitles you to a price reduction of 300 Lunites on your purchase. The Outfits available for purchase include those that have been released and the two new ones that will be released in Version 2.4. Outfit Vouchers and limited-time discounts can be used together.
- Gilded Nightmarket – Complete Convene Tasks and Activity Tasks to obtain Nightmarket Tokens, which can be exchanged in the Gilded Nightmarket for Radiant Tide x10, Modifier x15, Weapon Projections, Phantom Echoes, and more.
- Updates and Upgrades
- Initial Top-up Bonus Reset – Following the Version 2.3 update maintenance, the initial double top-up bonus will be reset for all price tiers in the Store.
- Upgraded Returnee Event – During the Reprise of Tides event, complete progress tasks to claim rewards and enjoy exclusive double drop bonuses in both Bass Challenges and Weekly Challenges. The limited-time Returnee Bundle will also be available for purchase. Rovers who have not logged in for 60 consecutive days or more will have access to different 7-Day Login rewards and Returnee Quests. Complete them to obtain up to 10 Radiant Tide and other rewards.
- Upgraded Pioneer Podcast – The item Modifier will be added to Pioneer Podcast rewards. The process of obtaining EXP and Materials will also be optimized. Additionally, in Version 2.3, you’ll be able to access certain quests directly from the Pioneer Podcast page.
- Resounding Waves – Participate in the Anniversary Web Event “Resounding Waves” to review the milestones you’ve achieved in the world of Wuthering Waves over the past year.
- Birthday Blessing – Set your birthdate on the Terminal page to unlock the Birthday Blessing feature. Log in on your birthday or within 7 days after your birthday, and you’ll receive a unique Birthday Blessing gift. If your birthday has passed when you finish the birthdate initial setting, you can still receive the birthday blessings and gift for the current year via in-game mail.
- The “Global Pre-registration and Social Media Milestone” mail and “Beginner’s Choice Convene” mail expire on 2025-05-22 at 11:59 (UTC+8), Be sure to claim the rewards contained in the mail before they become unavailable. If you register after 2025-05-22 12:00 (UTC+8) but before when Version 2.4 goes live, you will still receive the “Global Pre-registration and Social Media Milestone” mail and “Beginner’s Choice Convene” mail, along with the rewards contained within, Following the Version 2.4 update maintenance, more in-game events will become available. If you are new to the game, you can participate in beginner quests after Version 2.4 goes live to win a selectable 5-Star Resonator and other rewards. - New Feature: Echo Aspect – Change the appearance of a Resonator’s Glide/Flight apparatus.
- Data Modification – Use a Modifier to adjust the first Mainstat of an unenhanced 5-star Echo into a designated stat. Modifiers can be obtained through Special Events, Pioneer Podcast, and item Exchange.
- Ray Tracing and 120 Frames Per second – Version 2.3 will expand support for Ray Tracing to a broader range of graphics cards, including certain AMD and Intel models. Additionally, the 120 frames per second option will be made available for a broader range of graphics cards.
- No CD for Boss Fight – You can restart the boss fight immediately after completing a Boss Challenge or Nightmare Challenge.
- Glossary – Underlined hyperlinks will be added to complicated or important in-game terminology. Clicking on a hyperlinked term will bring up its definition.
- Game Resources Download Optimization – PC game resources will be optimized, and the official launcher will continue to support incremental updating. Furthermore, pre-download will be available on Mobile for Version 2.3.

- In Anniversary Resonator Convene, you select a 5-Star Resonator as your Convene target. In Anniversary Weapon Convene, you select a 5-Star Weapon as your Convene target. You can change the target Resonator or Weapon at any time. The rules for Anniversary Resonator Convene or Anniversary Weapon Convene are the same as for Featured Resonator Convene or Featured Weapon Convene, respectively, and the 5-Star Guarantee count is shared among the Convenes of the same type. Please refer to the upcoming official announcements for details about the Convene rules. During Anniversary Resonator Convene, the selectable 5-Star Resonators’ Wavebands will become available in the Afterglow Coral Store, each with a limit of 2 purchases, and they will be removed once the Convene event ends.

Additionally, Kuro Games announced that Wuthering Waves will feature a collaboration with the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners in 2026.
Wuthering Waves is available now for PlayStation 5, PC via client download and Epic Games Store, iOS via App Store, and Android via Google Play. The PC version will also be available via Steam starting April 29.
