Wolf Man Howls Onto Peacock This Month TechTricks365

Universal and Blumhouse’s Wolf Man hit theaters back in January, and now it’s coming to Peacock on Friday, April 18.

The Leigh Whannell-directed reboot will stream exclusively on the platform, and has been available to rent or buy on Apple TV and Prime Video since February. In the film, Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner play a couple who take their daughter to Blake’s (Abbott) childhood home in Oregon. After an animal attack leaves Blake scratched up, they’re forced to barricade themselves inside the house to survive both the creature outside and Blake’s gradual transformation into something equally dangerous.

Unlike Whannell’s Invisible Man reboot from 2020, reviews for Wolf Man were much more mixed. Despite how good the trailers looked, other marketing for the movie was kind of odd; for some reason, Universal released a pre-release clip of Blake’s gnarly transformation (which isn’t until pretty late in the film!), and featured a design for the titular creature during last year’s Halloween Horror Nights. Both of those may have played a hand in audiences not rushing out to theaters—it made $34.9 million at the box office and it was punted to PVOD after a few weeks. If you haven’t seen it yet, this is as good a time as any to see what all the fuss wasn’t about.
