Weekly News Roundup: Royal Enfield’s Big Plans & TVS’ New Launches TechTricks365

Last week was quite exciting for bike lovers. While no major two-wheelers were launched, the buzz around upcoming models was strong. Royal Enfield grabbed the spotlight by showing off what’s coming next.

Moreover, TVS also made headlines with the introduction of a fresh Apache RTR 200 4V and leaks about a new electric scooter. Let’s explore the two-wheeler news from the past week.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Spotted Testing

Royal Enfield is working on a new adventure bike called the Himalayan 750. It was spotted in Ladakh during cold-weather and high-altitude testing. Moreover, the top company executives were seen riding the test bikes themselves. Although the bike was fully camouflaged, some important features were visible.

It is likely to have a 750cc parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled engine. The bike may produce more than 50 bhp and 60 Nm of torque. Furthermore, it looked more muscular than the current Himalayan 450. The official reveal might happen later this year.

Royal Enfield Electric Himalayan Nearly Ready

Another major highlight was the electric version of the Himalayan. It too was tested in Ladakh, showing that it’s almost ready for launch. The bodywork looked complete, and the tail section was fully functional.

Interestingly, it had gold wire-spoke wheels and a rectangular display. This indicates the company is in the final stages of development. Moreover, Royal Enfield aims to launch it within the next 18 months. It will follow the launch of the Flying Flea C6 and S6 electric models. Its launch date may depend on how well those bikes are received.

TVS Launches 2025 Apache RTR 200 4V

TVS celebrated 20 years of the Apache lineup with a new 2025 model. The Apache RTR 200 4V now costs Rs. 1.54 lakh in India. It now meets the latest OBD-2B emission standards. The bike also comes with golden 37mm upside-down front forks.

Additionally, it gets a new hydroformed handlebar for better riding control. TVS offers it in three colours: Glossy Black, Matte Black, and Granite Grey. The engine performance remains strong, just like earlier models. It’s a smart upgrade for Apache fans who want both style and comfort.

TVS Planning an Entry-Level Electric Scooter

Besides the Apache update, TVS is also working on a new electric scooter. The new scooter could sit below the iQube in price and features. TVS has filed a trademark for the name “TVS Orbiter.” This name might be used for the upcoming budget-friendly EV.

Moreover, a design patent filed in Indonesia shows a stylish and compact e-scooter. It may target daily commuters looking for a cheaper electric option. However, it’s still unclear if this will be the Orbiter or a new product. We’ll have to wait for an official confirmation from the brand.

Before you go, don’t forget to check out the discontinued product from Ducati’s Scrambler lineup.
