Upcoming TVS Apache RTX Adventure Bike Spotted Testing Along With 2025 KTM 390 Adventure And Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 | BikeDekho TechTricks365

Quick News Highlights

  • The Apache RTX 300 is TVS’ first production adventure bike

  • Will be powered by an all-new 300cc RT-XD4 liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine

  • Could be launched in mid-2025

We recently came across new spy shots of the upcoming TVS Apache RTX 300 adventure bike being tested. The company’s Managing Director Sudarshan Venu was seen riding the test mule, and you can also clearly see the brand new RT-XD4 engine in the spy shots.

The TVS Apache RTX 300 will be powered by a new 300cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine which will produce 35PS at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm at 7,000rpm. The engine is set to replace the 312cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder unit that we have already seen on the TVS Apache RR 310 and Apache RTR 310.

Compared to the 312cc heart,, the new RTX 300’s engine will offer more linear acceleration. This should make it a lot more beginner friendly and also a lot easier to ride off-road. TVS is likely planning on using this engine as a new platform on which more bikes will be developed. So, we can also expect a supersport, and even a naked down the line.

Another interesting thing to note here is that the bike was spotted along with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure. This could likely be done by the brand/testers to get a decent benchmark on the upcoming bike’s performance compared to rivals. That said, given the engine’s capabilities, the bike will be a more powerful alternative to the KTM 250 Adventure.

The Apache RTX 300 is more of a road-biased adventure tourer than an off-roader. It features a typical road-biased ADV design which looks inspired from higher capacity Adventure bikes like the Ducati Multistrada V4. It features an inverted fork and monoshock suspension setup. The bike rolls on what appears to be a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel setup, with dual-purpose tyres to tackle light trails.

In terms of features, we expect the bike to feature riding aids such as a traction control system, switchable ABS and perhaps multiple riding modes as well. We expect the bike to be launched by mid-2025, with an expected ex-showroom price that is around the Rs 2.50 to Rs 2.60 lakh mark.
