Bike lovers, get ready! In 2025, the two-wheeler market in India is expected to get even more interesting. Models with engines less than 500cc are becoming more and more popular, and for good reason—they’re strong, stylish, and reasonably priced. In the upcoming six months, well-known brands Hero, KTM, Yamaha, and TVS are preparing to launch some interesting motorcycles. Let’s see what is coming!
Hero Motocorp
Hero may launch the 2025 Mavrick by October. The bike comes with gold inverted forks and would be priced at Rs. 2.30 lakh. Then, there is a Karizma XMR 250, which can be launched at Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom). It is a larger sibling of the Karizma 210 and a totally faired version of the Xtreme 250. Additionally, it may launch concurrently with the Mavrick, like Hero did with the XPulse 210 and Xtreme 250 at the Auto Expo 2025.
Honda
Honda’s parallel-twin 471cc engine may be used to produce two additional motorcycles. However, the NX500 and Rebel 500 are presently available in India. The next Honda motorcycles may be the CBR500R. A completely faired sportbike which directly competes with the Aprilia RS 457 and Kawasaki Ninja 500, and the CB500F naked streetfighter.
The CBR500R is expected to be launched in September at a price of around Rs 5.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Furthermore, the CB500F may be launched in August 2025 at a price of approximately Rs 5 lakh.
Yamaha
The 2025 R3 and MT-03 are anticipated to arrive in India in December of this year. The R3 AND MT-03 ex-showroom prices might be around Rs 3.70 lakh and Rs 3.60 lakh, respectively. These models have no mechanical changes and instead receive cosmetic and feature upgrades.
The Lander 250, on the other hand, is a lightweight dual-sport bike with off-road capabilities. The Yamaha bike expected to be released in October of this year and will cost around Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom). In India, it made its premiere at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo.
TVS & Norton
The TVS is going to launch the RTX 300 adventure tourer in India. It will compete with motorcycles such as the 2025 Yezdi Adventure, Suzuki V-Storm SX, and KTM 250 Adventure. The bike may launch in August 2025 and be priced at Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
It is anticipated that the Norton 450 and the Apache RR 450 will also be introduced in concept form this year. Then, we could also expect the TVS Apache RR 450, which is a Hosur-based brand’s flagship supersport bike. Its premier might take place at the MotoSoul 2025, in December this year. The Norton 450 is a high-end motorcycle that is estimated to cost around Rs. 5 lakh (ex-showroom). Whereas the Apache RR 450 may cost approximately Rs 4.20 lakh.
KTM
The KTM Duke 160 and RC 160 might be launched by August 2025 and October 2025, respectively. The estimated ex-showroom price of the Duke 160 is Rs 1.85 lakh, and the RC 160 is Rs 1.95 lakh. It is anticipated that the 160cc KTM motorcycles would be more affordable than the 125cc models. They will probably provide a decent combination of features and performance at a fair cost.
More significantly, the company anticipates introducing the 390 SMC R by August of this year, with an ex-showroom price of about Rs 3 lakh. It is the 390 Enduro R’s supermoto variant, including 17-inch wheels and road-biased tyres on both ends.
