Upcoming Scooter Launches In India: Activa 7G, e-Access, N-max 155, Ntorq 150, And More | BikeDekho TechTricks365

Multiple interesting scooters to be launched in the second half of 2025

The Indian scooter market has been witnessing significant growth, both in the petrol-powered segment and in the EV space. The first half of 2025 has been quite interesting so far, and here’s a brief summary of what can be expected for the next half of this year – both in terms of petrol-powered and electric scooters:

Honda

India’s favourite scooter the Honda Activa might just get an update in the festive season towards the end of the year. While the scooter was updated with a TFT console in January this year, it still misses out on LED indicators and tail light, along with the option of a front disc brake. Expect the updated version to feature these changes. It may not be called the Honda Activa 7G as Honda has done away with the “G” suffix after the Honda Activa 6G, which was launched in 2020. As far as the expected pricing is concerned, it could be around Rs 80,000 (ex-showroom).

TVS

TVS is reportedly planning to launch a bigger Ntorq in India to expand its scooter lineup. The brand aims to target the now-popular 150-160cc scooter segment. The scooter could get aggressive styling, similar to the Ntorq 125 and is expected to be launched in October 2025, possibly at around Rs 1.4 lakh (ex-showroom).

It could use a bigger version of the 125cc engine from the Ntroq 125. If the expected launch timeline happens to be true, then going with this engine configuration makes a lot more sense as compared to developing a brand new engine from scratch. Once launched, the Ntorq 150 will compete with the Yamaha Aerox 155, Aprilia SXR 160 and the Hero Xoom 160, whose deliveries are expected to start soon.

Suzuki

The Japanese manufacturer unveiled the e-Access back at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 (also known as Auto Expo 2025). This electric version of Suzuki’s best selling petrol scooter is expected to be launched by the end of June 2025. As per the specification given by Suzuki, the e-scooter gets a 4.1kW motor along with a 3.1kWh battery pack. It gets 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends, with a front disc and rear drum brake setup. Along with this, the e-scooter also offers a bunch of convenient features. The e-Access could be priced at about Rs 1.1 lakh (ex-showroom).

Yamaha

Yamaha showcased the N-Max 155 at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. In terms of design it looks like a proper full-size maxiscooter, with a front fairing and a  visor. The scooter gets all LED lights along with a LCD console which supports smartphone connectivity and notification alerts. This maxiscooter is based on the Yamaha Aerox 155, and uses the same liquid-cooled engine and frame along with 14-inch wheel configuration. It is expected to be launched by the end of this year, likely at Rs 1.4 lakh (ex-showroom).

Bajaj

Bajaj is all set to launch an updated version of the Chetak 2903 in June 2025. It is currently the best selling EV model within the Chetak range, and could get some changes inspired from the more expensive 35 series. It is likely to get a bigger 35-litre underseat storage along with a floor mounted battery pack. Along with these changes, the e-scooter is also expected to get a bigger battery pack with improved overall claimed range. It is expected to be priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom).

Vida

Hero MotoCorp’s electric sub-brand Vida will be launching the VX2 series of scooters on July 1, 2025. The VX2 will likely be the renamed version of the Vida Z which was showcased at EICMA 2024 and Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The e-scooter is expected to get 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends along with a digital instrument console which would support smartphone connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation and notification alerts.

It is expected to be available in 3 variants: VX2 Go, VX2 Plus and VX2 Pro, based on the trademark filings that surfaced online recently. The VX2 range is expected to be priced from Rs 70,000 (ex-showroom), effectively putting it one step below the more expensive and feature-packed Vida V2 range.
