Ultraviolette Tesseract Electric Scooter: Features Explained | BikeDekho TechTricks365

The EV maker calls it the most advanced electric scooter in the world!

Bangalore-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ultraviolette has recently launched the Tesseract as its first-ever electric scooter in India. Priced at Rs 1,45,000 (ex-showroom), the EV maker calls it the most advanced electric scooter in the world.

Initially, the Ultraviolette Tesseract was available at an introductory price of Rs 1,20,000 (both ex-showroom) for the first 10,000 customers, but was later extended to the first 50,000 customers.

Here’s what features the Ultraviolette Tesseract gets:

The Ultraviolette Tesseract comes with an all-LED lighting setup. At the front, it has twin projector headlamps along with floating LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights). It also has a hazard light feature.

The Tesseract electric scooter features a 7-inch TFT instrument console. It displays speedometer, odometer, battery, range, tachometer, trip meter, clock and other basic telltale readouts. The scooter also has smartphone connectivity offering Google Maps navigation, call and SMS alerts, ride analytics, towing alerts, location tracking, Violette AI integration and OTA updates.

Rider aid features on the bike include two-level traction control, 4-level dynamic regenerative braking, hill hold assist, park assist (reverse mode), and dual-channel ABS as standard. Moreover, the Ultraviolette electric scooter has spacious 34-litre underseat storage, 2 USB charging ports and a wireless charger.

First in Segment Radar & Dashcams on a Scooter

The Tesseract also has a 360-degree radar, which works similarly to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) in cars, offering lane change assist and collision alerts. It has smart mirrors that provide blind spot warnings. The scooter also gives haptic feedback on the handlebar, in the form of vibrations like the controllers of a PS5 gaming console. It also has two dashcams, one at the front and one at the rear.

The Ultraviolette Tesseract is available in three variants, based on its battery pack capacity: 3.5kWh, 5kWh and 6kWh. Ultraviolette hasn’t specified which variants will get what features. We believe that most of the above mentioned features will be made available in higher-spec.

More about the Ultraviolette Tesseract

The base variant has a peak power output of 10kW and a 3.5kWh battery pack delivering a 162km claimed IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range. The mid and top-spec variants make 15kW of maximum power. The mid-spec variant has a 5kWh battery with a 220km claimed IDC range. The range-topping variant is equipped with a 6kWh battery, offering a 261 claimed IDC range.

The top variant is claimed to go from 0 to 60kmph in 2.9 seconds. It has a 125kmph claimed top speed. Moreover, the EV maker says that it can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in under 1 hour. The Tesseract e-scooter competes with the other premium electric scooters like Ola S1 Pro Plus, Simple One, and the Ather 450X.
