TVS has teased what looks like a new variant of the Jupiter 125 on its social media channel. The popular 125cc scooter has been teased with new colour schemes: a light copper scheme, and a grey/off-white shade. We think this might be a new top-end variant that could sit above the SmartXonnect variant. The scooter’s premium looking beige coloured seat also points to this possibility. While it’s not very clear, it may also get a cushioned backrest.
With the new colour schemes, the new variant of the Jupiter 125 is also seen with a single-piece, silver coloured chunky grab-rail. The scooter may also get a new TFT display, considering the fact that two of its biggest 125cc rivals: the Suzuki Access 125 and the Honda Activa 125 get one. Considering all these aspects, the new variant of the Jupiter 125 might be costlier by around Rs 5,000. For perspective, the current SmartXonnect variant’s price is Rs 91,821 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The scooter is expected to remain unchanged mechanically, with the same components and underpinnings as before. It returned a real-world mileage of 57.27kmpl in the city and 52.91kmpl on the highway.

The TVS Jupiter 125, already a hot-selling model in the 125cc segment, and it already has a decent buyer base. This update should help TVS in not only increasing its market share in the 125cc segment, but also make the Jupiter 125 a lot more wholesome than before.
