Triumph Motorcycles India has launched a new Lava Red Satin colour for the Scrambler 400 X. This fresh shade gives the motorcycle a premium look and feel. The new colour will be sold along with the existing ones. The price of the bike remains nearly the same at Rs 2.66 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Triumph is also offering a 10-year standard warranty with the bike till May 31, 2025. Let’s explore the updates in detail.
Fresh Look with Lava Red Satin
The biggest highlight is the new Lava Red Satin paint scheme. The fuel tank now wears a satin red finish that’s slightly lighter and more matte than the earlier red. Moreover, the black graphic stripe on the tank with Triumph branding remains.
This new shade gives the Scrambler 400 X a more refined and elegant appeal. Furthermore, it co-exists with the older Volcanic Red and Phantom Black combo, which has a glossy finish. Some sources suggest it may just be a renamed version of an older red, but with a new finish.
Apart from the tank, the rest of the bike remains the same, with blacked-out panels and mechanical parts.
Still the Same Powerful Scrambler
The Scrambler 400 X continues to use the 398cc liquid-cooled engine that makes 40PS and 37.5Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and comes with a slip-and-assist clutch for smoother shifts.
The suspension setup includes 43mm inverted forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. The bike uses 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels with 100/90 and 140/80 tyres respectively.
Furthermore, it comes with 320mm front and 230mm rear disc brakes, along with dual-channel switchable ABS and a traction control system for added safety.
Long Warranty and Standard Features
Triumph is now providing a 10-year standard warranty on the Scrambler 400 X, which is applicable until May 31, 2025. It includes major components such as the engine, gearbox, and electricals. Braking pads, oil, and chains are excluded.
The features list remains the same. The motorcycle comes equipped with a semi-digital instrument panel featuring an analogue tachometer and a compact LCD screen. It shows fuel level, gear position, range, and speed.
Additionally, it features all-LED lighting, a USB charging point, and an engine immobiliser for extra security. Although the bike does not have smartphone connectivity, it still provides enough to make your rides comfortable.
