Top 5 Scooters Under Rs 1 lakh In 2025 With Largest Underseat Storage | BikeDekho TechTricks365

Some of these scooters have so much space that you will run out of groceries to fill in!

Practicality is one of the main aspects for which us Indians consider a scooter over a motorcycle. For this very reason, we have been spoiled with a long list of different types of scooters at different price points. The easiest way to tell if a scooter is practical or not is to simply check how spacious the underseat storage is. Here are top 5 scooters under Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom) with the biggest underseat storage:

5. Suzuki Access 125 21.4-litres

Suzuki India recently updated their best selling scooter (and also the highest-selling 125cc scooter in India) the Access 125 and gave it an all new design, new features and made it more practical as well. With an underseat storage capacity of 21.4-litres, it used to have one of the highest storage spaces in its segment, but the competition is soon catching up. That said, even the current storage space is generous enough for everyday grocery runs. It also gets two small open cubbyholes on the apron, along with an apron-mounted charging port. That said, we’d advise you to not keep your phone in the apron cubbyhole as it is open and the phone may get thrown off while going over bad roads. The Access’ peppy performance, usable features such as turn-by-turn navigation, and its Japanese reliability make it a good no-nonsense scooter in the 125cc segment. At a starting price of Rs 82,900 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the Drum variant, the Access 125 offers great value for what you pay.

4. Vida V2: Plus 26-litres

Surprised that we’ve added EVs in this list? Well, an average scooter user generally uses it for short, everyday commutes, and for grocery shopping. Shifting from the petrol-powered scooter segment to electric scooter segment is not really a massive jump in terms of everyday liveability. With an e-scooter, you’ll have a charging point right at your home, so all you’ll have to do is ensure it’s charged overnight, and you can enjoy substantial savings in petrol in due course of time. The Vida V2 Plus looks quite good with its simple, yet appealing design. It gets a 3.4kWh removable battery pack which gives it a claimed range of 143km (in Indian driving conditions). It is quite practical as well with its 26-litre underseat storage which can easily accommodate a lot of stuff such as a battery charger, a helmet, and some groceries. For added convenience the scooter also gets a utility hook at the front. The Vida V2 Plus is also quite good in terms of performance, as it can sprint from 0 to 40kmph in 3.4 seconds, and has a claimed top speed of 85kmph. Having removable batteries means you can simply take them out and charge them at the convenience of your home or office cabin. At a price of Rs 82,200 (ex-showroom Delhi), this e-scooter offers reasonable performance, practicality and value for money.

3. TVS Jupiter 110 33-litres

The TVS Jupiter 110 is one of the best selling scooters in India, and it has also made its way to our top 5 list. It is also TVS’ best-selling scooter in the country. By relocating the fuel tank to the floorboard, TVS was able to achieve an incredible 33 litres of underseat storage space. It is large enough to swallow not only one but two half face helmets. It is also the first scooter in the segment to get such a large underseat storage space. The Jupiter also gets an apron-mounted fuel filler cap for extra convenience. The right side of the apron has an open cubbyhole along with a charging port. The starting price of Rs 76,691 (ex-showroom Delhi), easily makes the Jupiter 110 one of the most desirable, practical scooters in the 110cc segment.

2. TVS Jupiter 125 33-litres

The TVS Jupiter 125 is by far the most practical 125cc scooter. In fact, the massive 33-litre underseat storage and the floorboard-mounted fuel tank with the tank cap on the apron debuted in the Jupiter 125, and later trickled down to the Jupiter 110. The Jupiter 125 is praised for having a peppy engine and a host of convenient features. Along with the large underseat storage, the scooter also gets a 2-litre front glove box and a USB charging port.  Additionally, the top variant gets a TFT-LCD combo console with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and even social media alerts and voice assistance. It also gets a cushioned pillion backrest for extra comfort in the top variant. At a price of Rs 79,540 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the base Drum variant, and Rs 99,985 for the top-end SmartXonnect variant, the Jupiter 125 is ideal for those who are looking for a spacious (both in terms of comfort and storage space) 125cc scooter.

1. Ola S1 X 34-litres

Ola Electric has been constantly updating its electric scooter lineup to make them more efficient and practical for the average Indian household. Having a fixed battery and lack of engine means Ola was able to package the S1 X for maximum practicality. In this case, it gets a generous 34-litre underseat storage – enough for a full load of groceries and other important stuff. The S1 X also gets 2 similarly sized cubby holes which can be used for storing smaller stuff like a water bottle or a mobile phone. The 3kWh variant of the S1 X costs Rs 87,999 (ex-showroom, including the charger). With a 151km claimed range and a 90kmph top speed, the e-scooter should tick all the essential boxes for those looking for an affordable, practical electric scooter.
