Top 5 Best Selling Yamaha Bikes And Scooters In February 2025: Yamaha Ray ZR 125 range, Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, FZ Series, MT-15 Version 2.0 and R15 Range | BikeDekho TechTricks365

The top spot has been taken by an unexpected contender

The Society of Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) recently released the February 2025 sales data. Here’s a list of the top 5 best-selling Yamaha two-wheelers in India in that month:

Yamaha Ray ZR range:

The Yamaha Ray ZR range consists of two scooters: Ray ZR 125 Fi and Ray ZR 125 Fi Street Rally. The Ray ZR range, with the reliability, light kerb weight and mileage they offer for their price tag, is received well by the customers. Yamaha sold 14,010 units of the Ray ZR, showing consistent growth of 27.14% increase in its YoY (Year-on-Year) sales numbers. The MoM sales numbers, however, narrate a different story with a 6.78% decrease in sales figures when compared to sales from January 2025.

Yamaha FZ range:

Yamaha’s FZ range, the premium 150cc commuters, have managed to secure the second spot on the list. The FZ range gets seven variants: FZ-S Fi Hybrid, FZ-S Fi, FZ-Fi, FZ-S Fi Ver 4.0 DLX, FZ-S Fi Ver 4.0, FZ-S Fi Ver 3.0 and FZ-X.

The FZ range sold 9,589 units in February 2025. The monthly sales have taken a hit of 15.87%, and the YoY sales have been dwindling too with a decline of 33.63% when compared to sales from February 2024. However, expect things to look better in the coming months as the brand recently launched the FZ-S Fi Hybrid, aimed at improving the mileage of an already fuel-efficient bike even more. It is also the first 150cc bike to get mild-hybrid technology.

Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0:

The Yamaha MT-15, currently in its second generation, is a capable motorcycle offering decent performance. However, it seems to show its age as there have not been substantial updates in some time. This is evident in the sales numbers too as Yamaha sold 9,490 units of the MT-15 in February 2025, a 10.80% decrease in MoM sales figures. The YoY sales figures too have been on a downward trend with a 5.54% decrease in its sales figures.

Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid:

The Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid is a retro-themed scooter with a curvy design and funky colour schemes. The Fascino does what it is designed to do well, with over 7,938 units sold in the month of February 2025, a 2.98% increase in its YoY sales. The sales numbers, though they are consistent, undergo fluctuations, and saw a decrease of 3.90% in its MoM sales figures.

The Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, along with the RayZR Hybrid are the lightest scooters in the 125cc segment tipping the scale at just 98kg kerb.

Yamaha R15 range:

The Yamaha R15, considered as one of the best entry-level sportsbike in India, has developed a loyal following since its launch back in 2008. The Yamaha R15 range consists of three models: the R15 V4, the R15M and the R15S.

Yamaha sold 7,157 units of the R15 V4 in February 2025, a 13.39% decline in MoM sales, while the yearly sales too, are on a spiral with 35.68% decline in sales figures. The R15 too is in need of an update. That said, Yamaha will also have to keep the costs in check as right now, the top-end variant is priced at Rs 2,10,800 (ex-showroom Delhi), which is a lot for what at the end of the day is a 150cc faired bike.
