Top 5 Best Selling Bikes In India: April 2025 – Hero Splendor Plus, Honda Shine 125, Bajaj Pulsar 125, TVS Raider 125, TVS Apache | BikeDekho TechTricks365


Despite a massive drop from March’s sales numbers, the Hero Splendor Plus is still the best selling bike in India

We have received the monthly sales data from SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) and there have been some interesting observations in April 2025’s sales figures. Here are the the top 5 best-selling bikes in India:

Hero Splendor Plus:

The Hero Splendor Plus has been the best-seller for nearly two decades now, with its reliable engine, easy-to-ride character, excellent mileage and the comfort it offers.
Hero sold 1,85,635 units of the Splendor Plus in April 2025, a whopping 38.44% decrease in its Month-On-Month (MoM) sales figures while the Year-On-Year sales too have decreased by 37.78% when compared to April 2024. We think this is a temporary fluctuation in sales as Hero had shut down its manufacturing plants last month, so the sales should be back on track in May. 


Honda Shine 125:

The Honda Shine 125 is one of the most-loved 125cc commuters in the Indian market. With its refinement, comfortable riding position and excellent reliability, the Shine 125 has managed to acquire the largest share in the 125cc bike segment. Honda sold 1,49,475 units of the bike in April 2025, driving the MoM sales figures up by about 10.40% when compared with March 2025, while the YoY sales figures too have seen an increase of 23.18%, compared to April 2024.



Bajaj Pulsar 125 range:

The Bajaj Pulsar 125 Range consists of three Pulsars: Pulsar 125, N125 and the NS125. All these Pulsars are known for their peppy performance offered in a budget while returning decent mileage. Bajaj sold 79,201 Pulsars in the month of April 2025, that’s a decent increase of 18.13% in MoM sales when compared with last month. The YoY sales though have seen a decline of 9.87% when compared with April 2024.

TVS Apache Range (150–200cc)

The Apache range from TVS have always been well-known for their sporty styling and come equipped with a lot of features – several of them segment-first. The 150-200cc Apache range gets four bikes: The Apache RTR 160 2V, Apache RTR 160 4V, Apache RTR 180 and Apache RTR 200 4V. 

TVS sold 45,633 Apaches in the month of April 2025, overtaking the popular bikes like the HF Deluxe and the TVS Raider 125. That’s an increase of 3.20% in its MoM sales figures when compared with March 2025. The YoY sales too, have seen an increase of just 0.24%, when compared to April 2024.

The TVS Raider 125 practically made the 125cc sporty commuter segment mainstream in the Indian market. The bike has a peppy engine, comfortable riding position, gets lots of features, and is pretty good in the mileage department too. 

With its affordable price tag and a wide range of variants to choose from, the bike has developed a loyal customer base and sold 43,028 units in April 2025. That’s a 38.80% increase in MoM sales while the YoY sales have gone down by about 15.79%, when compared to April 2024.
