Let’s look at which 125cc scooter is the one for you
Scooters are an important mode of transportation especially in India as most Indian families have a scooter for their daily errands. The 125cc scooter segment has been growing exponentially and the Suzuki Access 125, now in its third generation, is a solid scooter which one cannot ignore. But how does it compare to the recently updated Honda Activa 125? Let’s have a detailed look with the help of images:
Design
The Suzuki Access 125 retains a similar design language as the previous iteration but gets an angular LED headlight design and a reworked rear end. The scooter looks quite handsome and is available in 5 colour schemes.
The Honda Activa 125 also shares the same design language as the previous generation scooter. The curvy body panels are complimented by a new LED headlight. The rear end though, is the same and looks mundane. The Activa 125 is available in 6 paint schemes.
Overall, the Suzuki Access 125 is the better-looking scooter due to its modern design and fresh colour schemes. It will turn heads in traffic and has a better road presence.
Engine and Underpinnings
The Suzuki Access 125 is powered by a 124cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which makes 8.4PS at 6,500rpm and 10.2Nm at 5,000rpm. It gets a telescopic fork and a monoshock along with a disc brake at the front and a drum at the rear. The scooter has a 12-inch alloy wheel at the front and a 10-inch alloy wheel at the rear. It has a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 litres and a kerb weight of 105kg/106kg (depending on the variant).
The Honda Activa 125 gets a 123.92cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which also makes 8.4PS at 6,500rpm but makes slightly more torque, 10.5Nm at 5,000rpm. The Activa also has a telescopic fork and a monoshock. Brakes include a disc at the front and a drum at the rear mounted on a 12-inch front and a 10-inch rear alloy wheel setup. The scooter has a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 litres but weighs a bit more at 107kg (kerb).
While the Activa makes more torque, it is also the heavier scooter. The Access 125 is lighter and so is our go-to choice as it has a similar level of performance but with a lower kerb weight.
Features
The Suzuki Access 125 gets an LCD instrument cluster which supports smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth and shows turn-by-turn navigation, WhatsApp, call and SMS alerts, ETA updates, phone battery level alerts, high-speed alerts and weather updates. Other features include dual cubby holes on the front apron, LED headlight and taillight, an external fuel lid, a central locking system, an engine stop/start switch, a USB charging port, dual-under seat hooks, side-stand engine cutoff and a hazard light function.
The Honda Activa 125 is the more feature-rich scooter as it gets a 4.2-inch TFT display which supports smartphone connectivity via Honda’s RoadSync Duo application. Connectivity features include call & SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, music control and weather updates. Other features include a side-stand engine cutoff, remote lock & unlock, engine stop/start system, cubby hole on the apron, external fuel lid, LED headlight and taillight and a USB-C charging port.
Despite the Access 125 now receiving a digital display for the 2025 iteration, the Honda is the more feature-rich scooter of the two. The TFT display has a neat layout, has tons of features and increases the overall appeal of the scooter.
Price
The Suzuki Access 125’s prices start from Rs 82,900 and go up to Rs 94,500 while the Activa 125’s prices start from Rs 95,140 and go up to Rs 99,146 (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Suzuki Access 125 is the more affordable scooter out of the two. Even its top-end variant is priced lower than the base variant of the Honda Activa 125. The higher price of the Activa is most probably due to the addition of the new TFT display.
