Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Modified Into A Cafe Racer | BikeDekho TechTricks365

This custom Hunter is designed to hunt and slay the corners

Thailand based custom bike builder, K-Speed has converted a Royal Enfield Hunter 350 into one of the most beautiful custom made cafe-racers in the world. It is called the Moo Deng 350, a nod to the iconic pygmy hippopotamus that went viral for its cuteness and mischievous behaviour. It is really difficult to tell from a general glance that this motorcycle is based on a Hunter 350.

Complete Design Overhaul

The guys at K-Speed customs took a stock Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and gave it a complete design overhaul. The motorcycle gets a custom two-piece bullet headlight cowl which gives the motorcycle a bold look. It gets a redesigned rear end with a chopped off tail section with a handcrafted single- piece seat. It also comes with custom side panels with a fin type design – often K-Speed’s trademark pattern. It also gets a much smaller front fender along with the speedometer mounted on the left side of the engine head. Although it looks super cool, that may not be the best place for mounting a speedometer. The Moo Deng 350 uses the stock fuel tank from the Hunter 350 with custom tank cover on the top. It also gets a custom LED headlight along with small indicators which blend within the bodywork.

Underpinnings

The motorcycle uses low set clip-on handlebars but with stock footpeg positioning. The Moo Deng 350 gets the same telescopic fork but lowered for a slammed look. Along with this, it also gets custom twin shock absorbers with 10-step preload adjustability. The 17-inch alloys wheels are kept as usual but they’re wrapped with custom ‘ribbed’ high profile tyres for a classic look. It uses the same front and rear disc brake setup.

Engine

K-Speed have not mentioned anything about engine performance upgrade, but the motorcycle does get a full system exhaust finished in matte black with a chrome tip. The styling enhancements can also be seen with the custom matte black engine covers. For perspective, the stock Hunter 350 makes xxPS and xxxNm. This one, with the aftermarket exhaust, is likely to make a bit more.

Paint Scheme

The motorcycle gets a custom dark matte bronze paint scheme – similar to the skin colour of the celebrity hippo. Other than this, the frame, fork, shock absorbers, alloy wheels, exhaust and the engine are all kept matte black for that stealthy appearance. The metal fuel tank gets a black Royal Enfield branding. Overall, the paint scheme does make the motorcycle look different and quite interesting.

Summing up, the Moo Deng 350 is a beautiful custom bike, and is meant to be as fun as possible. In a way, this is a neat tribute to the playful hippo as it captures its essence quite well.
