Royal Enfield is preparing to offer its admirers something amazing. The company’s primary priority for the 2025–2026 fiscal year will be transforming its existing motorcycles. Royal Enfield will provide facelifts and updated versions of the motorbikes we already know and love rather than introducing brand-new models. New designs, colour schemes, and practical feature enhancements will all be part of these adjustments.
650cc Twin-Platform: Real Game Changer
For the Royal Enfield, the 650cc parallel-twin platform has changed everything. The very adaptable and buttery-smooth engine is currently found in six bikes, the most recent of which is the Classic 650, the true successor to the legendary Classic 500. The 650cc platform is expected to get some new colour variations and minor feature improvements this fiscal year.
Things are unlikely to end with this, though, since one motorbike based on this technology is still to be launched. That is the Bullet 650 from Royal Enfield. Since we have seen the motorbike several times throughout the years, the brand must launch it this fiscal year.
Only Upgrades on 350cc J-Series
The Classic 350, Goan Classic 350, Hunter 350, Meteor 350, and Bullet 350 are the five bikes that are housed on the J-series chassis. We don’t anticipate Royal Enfield producing any more motorcycles with the 350cc engine.
Nevertheless, the manufacturer could add more colour options to the present selection. Royal Enfield has a long history of leveraging its current portfolio and themes related to the armed services to utilise history itself. In the upcoming months, we could witness a more vibrant colour scheme.
450cc Motorcycles
The Sherpa 450 is Royal Enfield’s first liquid-cooled engine. It was added to the Guerrilla 450 after being initially seen in the Himalayan 450. Royal Enfield will probably utilise this platform for more future motorcycles because it is still relatively young. For example, the Himalayan 450 Rally is a motorcycle.
Compared to the standard Himalayan, it is designed for more difficult off-road riding. Road tests of this new model have already been observed. It was also spotted during the EICMA motorshow in 2024. In the upcoming months, Royal Enfield could introduce the Himalayan 450 Rally in India.
750cc Platform
Royal Enfield has a larger project in the works as well. There are now plans to design a new 750cc platform. Motorcycles like the Himalayan 750 and the Continental GT 750 are seen being tested in spy photos. Since some models are still in their infancy, their release could take longer. Updates for this year are not anticipated to include them, although they may. Once launched, they will provide increased performance and power.
Royal Enfield Shift to Electric
With intentions to switch to electric vehicles, Royal Enfield recently unveiled the Flying Flea C6 in India. However, the Flying Flea’s battery parameters have not been disclosed by the company. It is expected to be a premium offering in comparison to other commuter electric bikes and will be more of a lifestyle product.
Early in 2026, maybe in March, the Flying Flea is anticipated to make its production avatar premiere. The scrambler built on the same platform will come next.
