The Classic 500 was and will be an iconic motorcycle from Royal Enfield’s stable to ever hit the Indian roads. The thumping “dug-dug” exhaust note, addictive torque, and the overall riding experience was unmatched by any other motorcycle at the time. While the Classic has been long discontinued due to emission norms, you can still buy one, in a way. Enter the 1:3 scale models of the Classic 500. While the scale models were launched last year, the brand has now re-opened the bookings for 2025. You can reserve one for Rs 5,000 on Royal Enfield’s official store website.
Not A Toy
The Royal Enfield Classic 500’s scale model is not a toy, it’s an artpiece which will stand the test of time even after the era of combustion engines is long gone. The scale model gets moving parts such as brake and clutch levers, suspension at both ends, a centre and a side stand. The Classic’s scale model weighs 8.5kg and gets as much as 964 painstakingly detailed parts.
Available in almost all the colours the actual bike came in, Royal Enfield has paid great attention to detail to make sure the bike resembles the real-life motorcycle.
More Expensive Than The Actual Motorcycle
Priced from Rs 94,990, the 1:3 scale model is more expensive than a well-kept second-hand Royal Enfield Classic 500 itself! For the same price as the scale model, you will be able to get the actual bike, modify it to your taste or restore it, and have some money left for petrol. Well, to be fair, the scale model will be infinitely more reliable than the real deal as you will not have to service it at all!
