The Reise X Spidi Lemeto is a mesh riding jacket, perfect for the summer season, priced at Rs 10,000.
It is nice to see a lot of new riding gear entering the Indian market as enthusiasts have always been looking for more options to suit different riding needs. The Lemeto Jacket is one of the products to come out of the collaboration between Reise Moto and Spidi. It is a street riding mesh jacket that should suit summer riding needs. We have now been using this jacket for over a month to bring you a detailed review.
Design
The Lemeto jacket comes with a mesh construction and gets Class A CE certification (European safety standards) for the entire garment. It is a really smart jacket, especially in this bright and loud, blue colour scheme. The other two colours on offer are Black and Sand.
Comfort & Fit
I have worn a Small size jacket from Spidi before so I picked the same size and it fit perfectly.
The velcro neck strap is the only downside as it ends up scratching your neck after riding long distances. In the city and for short rides, this is not too much of an issue. At the forearms, I do like the zip closure system along with the velcro straps as they can be adjusted for the perfect fit. There are also adjusters at the biceps and waist areas. A nice touch is the YKK zipper which is easy to use even with riding gloves on.
Ventilation
This is a lightweight jacket that provides good ventilation. It has mesh panels at the armpits, arms, back, and chest areas. The material of the jacket felt premium and provided good airflow to keep me cool during this harsh summer season.
Protection
This jacket comes equipped with CE Certified Warrior Tech Level 2 Protectors for the Shoulders, Elbows, and Back. It does miss out on chest protectors as standard but they can be purchased separately as the jacket has pockets to insert them.
Storage
For storage, the jacket has two spacious pockets at the front. They could easily fit in my 6’8 phone, wallet, or daily essentials. Additionally, there is also one mesh pocket on the inside.
Verdict: Should You Buy It?
The Lemeto riding jacket is a comfortable and well-ventilated jacket which is great for the summer season. Priced at Rs 10,000, this jacket feels premium and comes with elbow, shoulder and back protection as standard. The only thing that would have sweetened the deal was if a rain and thermal liner were offered as standard. Riders who are on a tighter budget can check out the Reise Dalton jacket which is cheaper but gets chest protectors as standard.
