The Italian helmet manufacturer Acerbis, In collaboration with Reise Moto has launched the ‘Profile 4’ range of offroad helmets in India. The helmet range is priced at Rs 7999 and is available in six different colour schemes:

The Profile 4 helmet is made from thermoplastic material and is DOT, ISI and ECE certified for safety. The DOT (US Department Of Transportation) certification is given to helmets that undergo tests like impact absorption, penetration resistance and retention strap strength. The ECE (Economic Commission of Europe) certification is given to helmets that undergo tests like impact absorption, strap integrity and abrasion resistance too. The Indian government also certifies the helmets with an ISI mark certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards. Acerbis also claims it is the lightest helmet in its segment, weighing in at 1,240 grams approximately.
The helmet gets a very typical offroad oriented design with a long, adjustable front peak for protection from debris and environmental elements, a large chin bar for the face protection and also gets sufficient spaces for the ventilation of the rider. As for the features, the Profile 4 helmet gets a Double-D ring closure strap, adjustable visor, perforated cheek pads for better ventilation and also gets removable helmet liners that are washable. The helmet liners are also hypoallergenic, reducing the risk of any allergies from the use of a helmet.
The launch of the Acerbis Profile 4 helmet range in the Indian market will provide the Indian riders with a product that is safe, lightweight and affordable as well. The Acerbis Profile 4 helmet range will now give competition to the offroad-oriented helmet like the SMK Alterra, AXOR Xcross and the LS2 Fast EVO.
