Pokemon TCG Pocket Expansion Shining Revelry to Introduce Shiny Pokemon | TechRaptor TechTricks365

The Pokemon Company has announced a new Pokemon TCG Pocket expansion by the name of Shining Revelry, which, as the name suggests, is introducing shiny Pokemon to the mobile card-collecting app next week.

As revealed in an official Pokemon news post, Shining Revelry will introduce both shiny Pokemon and Paldean Pokemon to the game. It’ll feature over 110 cards to collect, although not all of those will be Pokemon; some will be trainers and items.

Like previous Pokemon TCG Pocket expansions, you can look forward to new ex cards, as well as new Trainer cards and “a gorgeous immersive card” that will feature full artwork for you to admire.

Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s newest expansion will introduce shiny Pokemon to the game.

It’s worth remembering here that the word “shiny” doesn’t refer to those glossy, glittery cards with metallic borders and designs; rather, it’s referring to those rare Pokemon with different coloration, like the black Charizard seen above.

That ‘mon will, of course, be featuring in the expansion, along with shiny versions of the likes of Lucario, Pachirisu, Wiglett, and Varoom. Shining Revelry‘s debut trailer also shows trainer cards for Red and Iono.

If you’re not familiar with Pokemon TCG Pocket, it’s a mobile version of the popular Pokemon Trading Card Game, albeit a slightly less complex one. You can collect cards, battle with AI opponents or your friends, and trade cards with others (with some pretty hefty caveats).

Since launching in late October last year, Pokemon TCG Pocket has proven pretty successful; it’s been raking in money for developer DeNA, despite the fact that players have roundly criticized what they see as an unnecessarily restrictive trading system.

You can check out Pokemon TCG Pocket on Android and iOS devices, including tablets, right now. The game’s latest expansion Shining Revelry launches for both platforms on March 27th, so make sure you’re ready to update by then.
