It’s been more than six years since The Division 2 launched. Still, its publisher, Ubisoft, has continued to offer support for the game in a similar manner to its ongoing work on Rainbow Six Siege, For Honor, or, more recently, Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Skull and Bones. The latest example of this comes with today’s launch of Battle for Brooklyn, a substantial new DLC that adds in a fresh campaign, set in the titular New York City borough, and plenty of changes to the overall game that look to reinvigorate the experience for its audience.
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 already includes a lot to do through its base game and years of updates, but, as a multiplayer game that rewards players returning to its vision of an apocalyptic United States, substantial new additions are always welcome.
The Battle for Brooklyn DLC offers exactly that. Set in a rundown Brooklyn newly occupied by the pyromaniac Cleaners faction, the DLC features a new campaign and a pair of new zones to explore. Aside from the extra storyline that details Brooklyn’s fate, The Division 2’s gear and skills selection has been expanded and, in some cases, reworked. Stash sizes have also been made larger and, for any players looking to skip past the base game’s campaign to get right into the new material, the DLC includes a level 40 boost.
