Silver Palace has only just been revealed, but the steampunk action game is already taking the internet by storm. With a gorgeous Victorian world, frenetic combat, and even a horse that can drift, Silver Palace is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated games around.
In Silver Palace, the world revolves around Silvernium. This revolutionary element transformed technology, fostered innovation, and overhauled industrialization, turning the city of Silvernia into a Victorian metropolis. Power begets greed, though, and the city’s many factions are all vying for control of the element. Corporate monopolies, royal affiliates, underground crime rings, and even cults want all the Silvernium for themselves, and they’ll do anything to get it.
This is where you come in. Taking on the role of a detective, it’s your job to scour the streets of Silvernia to investigate crimes and help its people, all the while peeling back the city’s layers to see what lies underneath. As shown in the extended gameplay trailer below, you’ll spend a lot of your time in the gacha RPG exploring the steampunk-inspired world, but you don’t need to do it on foot. You can ride a metallic pegasus above the ground, or take it to the streets below and drift it around corners – no, you didn’t read that wrong.
We also get a look at Silver Palace’s combat gameplay in the new showcase, and it’s a treat for anyone familiar with Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero. You can switch between multiple characters at an incredibly quick pace, with powerful swords and guns giving you plenty of choice in tense situations. If you’re as much of a parry freak as I am, you’ll also be ecstatic to learn that the countering mechanic is alive and well in Silver Palace.
