Mobile communications leader Motorola today announced the Australian launch of its highly anticipated Motorola Edge 60 Fusion. Following its successful overseas debut, the device marks the arrival of the first model in the Edge 60 family to the Australian market.

Set to go on sale from Thursday, May 22nd, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion introduces advanced Moto AI features, promising more proactive and intuitive daily interactions. A key highlight is the world’s first Sony LYTIA™ 700C camera, validated by Pantone, which, coupled with the brand’s brightest display in its category featuring Pantone Validated Colours, aims to deliver exceptional and true-to-life imagery.

Kurt Bonnici, Head of Motorola Australia and New Zealand, emphasised the company’s commitment to innovation, stating that the Edge 60 fusion “marks an important step in bringing world-first and category-leading features to Australians.” He highlighted the enhanced Moto AI capabilities for more intelligent searching, deeper photo understanding, and context-aware insights.

The device boasts a suite of new and improved Moto AI features, including:

  • ‘Catch me up’: Provides concise summaries of important information.
  • ‘Remember this and Recall’: Intelligently analyses and tags screenshots, photos, and notes for easy retrieval.
  • ‘Pay attention’: Offers live transcription and speaker identification.
  • Next Move: Provides tailored recommendations based on on-screen content.
  • Playlist Studio: Curates personalised playlists based on on-screen content or prompts.
  • Image Studio: Utilises generative AI for creating and editing images, avatars, stickers, and wallpapers.
  • Photo Enhancement Engine: Applies precise adjustments for optimal photo and video quality.

The motorola edge 60 fusion features a world-first Sony LYTIA™ 700C sensor with OIS video stabilisation and Pantone Validated Colours for true-to-life image capture. Its 6.7” pOLED display offers Super HD resolution (1220p) and a peak brightness of up to 4500 nits. Powering the device is a 5200mAh battery with 68W TurboPower™ charging, providing a full day’s battery life in just eight minutes. The ultrafast MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset and up to 12GB of RAM with RAM Boost ensure smooth performance.

Built with premium quality and durability in mind, the Edge 60 fusion features a leather-inspired finish in Slipstream, Amazonite, and Zephyr hues, developed in partnership with the Pantone Colour Institute™. The display is protected by Corning® Gorilla® Glass 7i, offering enhanced drop and scratch resistance. The device also meets MIL-STG 810H military standards for durability. It boasts IP68 and IP69 ratings for superior dust and water protection, including submersion in up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for 30 minutes.
