Where to find the MH Wilds Tracktail Lizard
You can find the Tracktail Lizard in Area 13 of Windward Plains, due east of the Oasis.
If you have a popup camp at the Oasis, you can fast travel there in an instant. If not, open the Monster Hunter Wilds map and set a waypoint to have your Seikret run you right to the spot.
From here, you have two options: the first is to enter the cave on the south side of the Oasis. Head through its winding paths to find plenty of materials, fishing spots, and campgrounds before emerging right where you’ll find two Tracktail Lizards slithering around or standing tall on their tails.
If you’d rather avoid the complicated cave network, you can head straight to its exit point. Just run east of the oasis and north just as you approach Area 16. You should see its craggy walls give way to an underground path. Right before the dip into the recess should be two Tracktail Lizards.
How do I catch a Tracktail Lizard?
To catch the slippery Tracktail Lizard, just equip your net via the item bar, aim, and shoot. If they’re close enough together, which they typically are, you’ll score two in one cast of the net. Miss, and they’ll dart off, forcing you to wander around until they decide to return.
