Capcom has already announced when you can expect Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 to arrive, even though the game itself hasn’t even been released yet.
In a post on Steam, Capcom reveals that the game’s first big update will arrive in April. As has become tradition when it comes to Monster Hunter Title Updates, the update will bring new monsters for you to face.
According to Capcom, you can expect a monster “of formidable strength at a level above Tempered” to arrive as part of Title Update 1, but not only that; “another challenging monster” is also being introduced in the update. You’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to monster huntin’.
Not only can you expect two new monsters to fight, but Capcom is also promising “a new place to meet, communicate, have meals together and more with other hunters” in the first Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update.
To access this area, you’ll need to finish the game’s main quest. More information will be available on this, as well as the new monsters and much more, closer to Title Update 1’s release.
Monster Hunter Wilds is the latest mainline installment in the Monster Hunter series, which has been running since the first game launched on PlayStation 2 all the way back in 2004, selling more than 100 million copies across all games in the process.
Wilds takes place in an area known as the Forbidden Lands, where you are tasked with investigating a mysterious monster that has attacked a young boy’s village, leaving him to barely escape with his life.
If early indications are anything to go by, Monster Hunter Wilds will continue the series’ strong sales streak; its first open beta broke Steam player count records for the series back in November, attracting more players than any fully-released Steam game in the franchise to date.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S tomorrow, and its first major Title Update arrives in April. Be sure to check out the game’s global release timings to make sure you’re not left in the lurch, and read our Tyler’s review to get up to speed before launch.
