Modified Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 Jet Stream Unveiled | BikeDekho TechTricks365

This insane build has transformed a bobber into a cafe racer!

We recently came across a modified Royal Enfield Shotgun 650, turned into a cafe racer by Rajputana Customs. The bike has undergone a lot of insane changes to its design and mechanicals and looks nothing like the stock bike! Here’s a detailed breakdown of everything that has been changed.

When looking at the bike, it is clear that there’s very little resemblance to the stock bike. The bobber look of the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 has now been replaced with a futuristic cafe racer look. The headlight has been replaced with a smaller unit, with a white finish and the stock fuel tank has been swapped out for a sleek looking one.

The bike has also undergone some changes to the ergonomics. First, the wide bobber-style handlebar has been replaced by clip-on style bars typical of cafe racers. Second, the stock mid-set footpeg setup has been changed with rear-set footpegs. These two changes will give the rider a more committed and sportier riding stance.

The twin peashooter exhaust units have been replaced with rerouted units. The new ones have a rugged look and feel to them, thanks to the exhaust wraps. The seat and the rear section features a sleek look, which is in line with the tank’s design.

The bike’s frame appears stock, but the subframe is a custom unit, likely made by Rajputana Customs. Modifications to the bike also include a new suspension setup. The bike now gets a custom inverted fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The monoshock replaces the stock twin-rear shock absorber setup.

The stock alloy wheels have also been swapped out for a spoke wheel setup with track-spec slick tyres. Lastly, the brake discs have been replaced by larger units at both ends, most-likely for better braking performance.

Although the bike is still powered by the same 648cc, air and oil-cooled, parallel twin engine, Rajputana Customs has made some modifications to improve performance. The bike now gets derestricted air intakes for an increased air flow to the engine thus improving performance. This has replaced the bike’s traditional air filter. So we expect the Jet Stream to produce more power than the stock Royal Enfield Shotgun 650’s 47PS and 52.3Nm.

Overall, this build looks quite interesting and goes to show how much a bike can be modified. After looking at the Shotgun 650 Jet Stream, not many people would guess that the bike was actually a bobber turned into a cafe racer.
