Logitech’s MX Creative Console is an LED keypad and a separate dial
In its first major update, MX Creative Console, Logitech’s Stream Deck-like Mac accessory, has added support for Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and more.
First launched in September 2024, the Logitech MX Creative Console is a two-part device where one side resembles an Elgato Stream Deck. Alongside its nine LED buttons, though, there is a separate rotary DialPad, and together they control scrolling and particular apps on the Mac.
Now the pair have their first significant update, with the addition of controls for five apps:
- Final Cut Pro
- DaVinci Resolve
- Figma
- Adobe Lightroom
- Affinity Photo
In each case, switching to that app on the Mac makes the MX Creative Console automatically offer the correct controls.
Logitech has also announced that it intends to continue adding profiles for further apps.
Besides its nine LED buttons, the MX Creative Console also has a pair of separate forward and back physical buttons. In Final Cut Pro, for example, pressing these takes users through a set of three pages of actions.
So a total of 27 functions are available directly on the Creative Console. The new Final Cut Pro controls, for instance, range from Play/Pause and Import Media, to Cutting and Trimming clips.
There are similar controls for DaVinci Resolve, such as cutting and trimming, or moving through the timeline. In Adobe Lightroom, controls include adjusting brightness using the rotary dial, or tapping a button to rate images.
For every app, the buttons and the dial are extremely customizable. New pages of buttons can be added, up to 15 per app.
Equally, existing controls be moved, or replaced from the selection of hundreds of options.
The new update is free for existing MX Creative Console users. The hardware itself costs $199.99 on Amazon, and comes in either Graphite or White.
