Just Launched Bajaj Chetak 3001 Electric Scooter Features Explained – Check What The Cheapest Chetak Offers | BikeDekho TechTricks365

The Chetak 3001 may be the cheapest in the lineup, but it still gets all the essential features

Bajaj recently launched the most affordable variant of the Bajaj Chetak, called the Chetak 3001. The new electric scooter is built on the same platform as the Bajaj Chetak 35 series. It is priced at Rs 99,990 (ex-showroom), and has a lot of features, despite the affordable price tag. Here’s a detailed breakdown of everything the new scooter has to offer:

A Massive 35-Litre Bootspace

One of the biggest changes that the new electric scooter gets is the revised chassis. It is the same as the one used on the Bajaj Chetak 35 series, and as a consequence, the battery pack has been mounted on the floorboard instead of using the underseat space.

This has increased the underseat storage to a massive capacity of 35-litres. It should be more than enough to store most groceries and other stuff. With the 3001, practicality is one aspect you need not worry about.

LCD Console With Connectivity Features

The Chetak 3001 gets a simple colour LCD console which offers smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. This opens up new features such as music control, with the rider being able to play or pause songs using the buttons on the switchgear.

Along with this, the console also offers other features such as call/SMS alerts and the ability to answer or reject calls on the go. That said, it is important to note that these features are offered with the Tec Pac, which costs extra. We’ve reached out to the brand regarding the pricing, and will update once we hear from them.

Riding Modes, Reverse & Hill Hold Assist

The Bajaj Chetak 3001 is offered with 2 ride modes: Eco and Sport. With Eco mode, the power and top speed is limited, and this helps when the rider is trying to conserve battery. The Sport mode, on the other hand, unlocks the scooter’s full power and performance, making it perfect for spirited riding.

The scooter also gets a Reverse mode as standard, which makes it easier to move around in the parking lot. With the Tec Pac, riders can also get a reverse light. The Tec Pac also enables Hill Hold Assist, which makes it easy to handle the scooter on inclines. The system holds the scooter in place, preventing it from rolling off slopes.

‘Guide Me Home’ Lights

Another interesting feature the scooter has is the Guide Me Home Lights, which stays lit even after turning off the scooter. It is a nifty little feature which makes it easy for riders to find their way in dark parking spots.

With all these features, the Bajaj Chetak 3001 proves (at least on paper) that an affordable electric scooter doesn’t have to make compromises. The Chetak 3001 is powered by a 3kWh battery pack, which offers a claimed range of 127km. It has a top speed of 68kmph, which is decent for city commutes. The New Chetak 3001 competes with other electric scooters in the market such as the TVS iQube and the Ola S1 X.
