Honda Rebel 500 Cruiser Reaches Dealerships In India; Deliveries to Begin Soon | BikeDekho TechTricks365

The Rebel 500 is the only Honda cruiser sold in India, and the deliveries of the 500cc bike will start this month

Quick News Highlights

  • 2025 Honda Rebel 500 has started reaching the dealerships

  • Deliveries of the bike are on schedule, and will start this month

  • The bike is priced at Rs 5,12,000 (ex-showroom, Gurugram, Haryana)

About a month ago, Honda launched the 2025 Rebel 500 in India at Rs 5,12,000 (ex-showroom, Gurugram, Haryana). The bike has now started arriving at the dealerships, and the deliveries are all set to begin by the end of this month, as promised by Honda at the launch. It is the only cruiser motorcycle in Honda’s two-wheeler lineup in India, and is sold exclusively through the BigWing Topline Showrooms in Gurugram, Mumbai and Bengaluru as of now.

The BigWing Topline showrooms are an exclusive chain of dealerships that sell high-end Honda bikes. Since this is sold in limited cities, it’s uncertain whether it will be readily available for test rides or not. Apart from the Kawasaki Eliminator, the Honda Rebel 500 is the only other 500cc Japanese cruiser in India.

The bike is powered by a 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 46.2PS and 43.3Nm shared with the NX500, and is known for its smooth power delivery and refinement. Also, it is one of the bikes with the lowest seat, at 690mm. As far as features are concerned, the Rebel 500 is just about manageable with an all-LED lighting setup, a circular negatively-lit LCD display, and dual-channel ABS. There are no riding modes, traction control (which even the Honda H’ness CB350 gets) or even connectivity for that matter.

It is pretty expensive for what at the end of the day is a 500cc cruiser. However, the Rebel 500 will appeal for those who want a no-nonsense small-capacity cruiser with enough performance for Indian roads, and are willing to pay the premium. That said, if you’re looking for a cruiser that offers a much better value for money, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 should tick all the right boxes. It has a bigger parallel-twin engine while being considerably cheaper, starting at Rs 3.68 lakh (ex-showroom).
