Honda Launches Rebel 500 in India at Rs 5.12 Lakh TechTricks365

Honda has finally launched the much-awaited Rebel 500 cruiser motorcycle in India. The bike is priced at Rs 5.12 lakh (ex-showroom). Interestingly, the Honda bike is Rs 64,000 cheaper than the Eliminator 500. The Rebel 500 is available at BigWing Topline dealerships in Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.

Moreover, the bookings have already begun, and deliveries will start from June 2025. You can book it now at Honda BigWing Topline showrooms or on the official website. In terms of rivals, it competes with the Kawasaki Eliminator and Royal Enfield 650s. Let’s take a closer look at what this new Honda cruiser has to offer.

Classic Cruiser with Modern Styling

The Honda Rebel 500 looks simple yet bold with its all-black finish and retro design. It has a round LED headlamp, a high-mounted fuel tank, and a seat height of 690mm. Moreover, the seat is wide and comfortable, which makes it great for long rides. The bike is available in one colour only: Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic. Its minimalist styling and deep exhaust note give it a classic cruiser appeal. The Honda Rebel 500 is imported as a completely built unit (CBU) from overseas.

Powerful Twin-Cylinder Engine

The Rebel 500 is equipped with a 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder engine. It produces 46 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 43.3 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. Furthermore, it comes with a 6-speed gearbox for smooth power delivery. The engine is tuned to give strong low-end torque for easy cruising. This setup ensures smooth city rides as well as stable highway performance. Moreover, the short, stubby exhaust looks cool and sounds deep and rich as well.

Comfort, Safety, and Features

Honda Rebel 500 Features
Built on a tubular steel frame, the Rebel 500 promises a solid and stable ride. It has telescopic front forks and Showa twin shock absorbers at the rear. Moreover, the cruiser rolls on 16-inch alloy wheels with Dunlop tyres for better grip. The bike also features a 296mm front and 240mm rear disc setup with dual-channel ABS. It also features a neat inverted LCD instrument cluster to show all vital information.
