Honda CB650R E-Clutch Teased in India – Price, Features, and Launch Details TechTricks365

Honda has teased its much-awaited CB650R with the innovative E-Clutch system on its BigWing India social media channels. This sneak peek hints that the official launch of this bike is going to take place sooner. The normal Honda CB650R is already available in India at a price of Rs. 9.20 lakh (ex-showroom). Talking about the new E-Clutch variant, it is expected to carry a hike of around Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 40,000. Check the full details here.

What Changes to Expect in Honda CB650R?

In terms of design, the E-Clutch variant of the CB650R remains mostly unchanged. The only visual difference is the “E-Clutch” badge on the engine and a slightly more prominent clutch casing. The bike is still powered by the same 649cc inline-four engine that produces 94 bhp and 62.3 Nm of torque.

As part of the 2025 updates, Honda has also made some subtle upgrades across the CB650R lineup. These include a sharper LED headlight, new colour options, and a modern five-inch TFT display. Additionally, it offers Bluetooth connectivity, adding a tech-savvy touch to the riding experience.

About Honda E-Clutch System

The biggest update is Honda’s brand-new E-Clutch technology, which was unveiled globally earlier this year. This system brings a new level of convenience by allowing riders to shift gears without using the clutch lever. Weighing only about 2 kg, which might increase the weight of the bike.

In terms of usage, it can simply tap the gear shifter to go up or down the gears without engaging the clutch lever. The system also takes over clutch duties when you’re starting off or coming to a stop.

Honda has also added a layer of customisation to suit individual riding preferences. Riders can adjust the gearshift resistance between Soft, Medium, and Hard settings for both upshifts and downshifts. Plus, there’s a handy rider alert that recommends a downshift if you’re in too high a gear for your speed.
