Hero Xtreme 125R Single-Seat Variant Launched at Rs 1 Lakh TechTricks365

Hero MotoCorp has launched a new variant of the Hero Xtreme 125R in India. This version comes with a single-piece seat and is priced at Rs 1,00,100 (ex-showroom). Interestingly, this is the same price as the split-seat ABS variant.

The new model offers the same sporty design and engine setup but now gives buyers a more practical seat option. Let’s know more about this:

Sporty Design with a Comfortable Seat

The Hero Xtreme 125R single seat variant features the same bold and sporty design. It takes design inspiration from Hero’s bigger Xtreme models. You can spot sharp tank extensions, a sleek tail section, and a short exhaust. All these elements make the bike look aggressive and stylish.

The new single-piece seat makes the bike more practical for everyday use. This seat is expected to offer better comfort, especially for pillion riders. However, the seat height remains the same at 794mm.

This hero bike is available in three colour options, including Cobalt Blue, Firestorm Red, and Stallion Black. Each colour gives the bike a unique appeal, adding to its street-ready look.

Specifications Remains the same

The Xtreme 125R continues with the same engine setup. It has a 124.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine delivers 11.55PS at 8,250rpm and 10.5Nm at 6,500rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox that offers smooth gear shifts for city and highway use.

The performance is good for a 125cc bike. It’s peppy enough for daily city rides and light weekend runs. The engine is also known for being fuel-efficient, which is important for commuter bike buyers.

The Hero Xtreme 125R uses a diamond-type frame with a box-section swingarm. Suspension duties are handled by a 37mm telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Both units are tuned by Showa, offering decent comfort and handling balance.

For braking, the single-piece seat variant gets a 276mm front disc brake with single-channel ABS. This is the same as the split-seat ABS variant. At the rear, it uses a 130mm drum brake, which is standard across all models. The ground clearance is 180mm, and the kerb weight is 136kg. The bike feels light and easy to handle, making it ideal for new and experienced riders alike.

Features That Matter

In terms of features, the Hero Xtreme 125R offers LED lighting all around. This includes the headlight, tail-light, and turn signals. The instrument console is a negative-lit LCD unit. It displays key data like speed, fuel level, gear position, and trip meters.

However, one feature still missing is Bluetooth connectivity. Even the top-end variant doesn’t have this function. So, riders who want smartphone alerts or navigation support might feel a bit left out.
